Title: C.S. Lewis' The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe Book/Film
Post by: NESSAussie on April 12, 2005, 09:15:41 pm
I bumped into this whilst in an online search for Unicorns (which feature in
both the book and plays based on it) and was reminded of the enchanting
world that C.S. Lewis so vividly created in The Chronicles Of Narnia series >
perhaps my all-time favourite children's books and much anticipated film/s!

Indeed 8) Other talent involved in the Music & Soundtrack include Lifehouse's
Jason Wade as writer and Harry Gregson-Williams (Shrek films) as composer;

I've included a link to the film FAQs below for those seeking more answers

And how in the world is that more logical? Either works fine, it's just a matter of what you're used to.

So I'm currently reading the books.
I've already read The Magician's Nephew and I'm halfway through The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
Pretty cool stuff to read :)
The 1st movie is due Dec 9th in the US and comes out Dec 20th here! (woot, we don't have to wait for too long for once!)
I can't wait to see what it looks like on the big screen, the trailers look great!

Oh . . . this shit is fucking tight. (Excuse my language.)

Have you read all books in The Chronicles of Narnia? 'The Magician's Nephew' is the best (the first, with the creation of Narnia, etc.), but I mean . . . Let me cry until I can't anymore when Asland dies for that DUMBASS kid. I understand he was needed to fulfill the prophecy, but if I was that lion (which, I AM a lion), I'd have kicked the shit out of someone.

When I saw the movie, it reminded me of a Lord of the Rings, Jr. But that's because Lewis and Tolkien were BFFs and wrote a lot of shit together, and while having the same muses and influences. I don't know. I'm fascinated by random things.

PS I like the allusions to Atlantis in 'The Magician's Nephew'.

in addition to working on my album stuff i just demoed 6 new songs for the chronicles of narnia musical. man, i hope they use this stuff. it's super good. stephan and i worked on it together in his new badass sf studio. musicals rock when the songs are really good. anyway just one of many things goin on.

^ Looks like the success of the first film has already created space for a musical!
