Title: Imogen Heap
Post by: Gina on November 09, 2005, 02:40:12 pm
She's absolutely amazing, anyone else like her?  She has a new album out called "Speak For Yourself' - definately check her out if you haven't heard her.  All of you OC fans, I guess her song "Hide and Seek" was played on there.

great cd. I heard her on the OC cd but I'm so glad I got the cd. I just met her at her recent Dallas show. She was nice enough to chat by her bus and take pics and stuff with us. I didn't realize how tall she was. 8O

Oh you know everyone went nuts when she played "hide and seek" but I've always loved "Goodnight and go" the best. I love the part where she sings, "Why'd ya have to be so cute? It's impossible to ignore you". Ahh love it. She played it second.

didn't like it? I thought was pretty good when i heard it on the oc but then again the song is awesome anyway. Jeff Buckley is amazing on that song. Hard to compare his version to anyone else.

I saw Imogen play in Dallas in November ... WOW.  She's just so far above & beyond most of the artists out there today.  I got to meet her, but unfortunately the picture I got with her didn't turn out.   :(  Anyway, yeah, she's the best.

can anyone transcribe & post "hide and seek"? i know it's just her singing and it's all chords but i can't put it together and i'd really like to know the notes because i'm planning on doing this song in an a little ensemble that some of my friends and i are in for a big school concert.
Title: Any Imogen Heap fans?

How completely excited are you about a new VC CD? Woot! I've been out of the loop but I just heard today!

Anywho- In the meantime I've been enjoying myself some Imogen Heap. :) Are there any other fans out there?

Some of you who remember me from "the good ol' days" might remember a few updates about my two kids, well I've created a video and I'm hoping you'll give it a watch and pass it along to those who might enjoy it as well, or know someone who may.

This song, "Earth" completely sums up my 2.5 year old son, Elliott. The song is from Imogen Heap's album Ellipse.

She is in my top 5 favourite artists! I love her almost as much as vanessa and i love that she's from london (it's always a plus when they're local). I didn't think anyone else knew about her!

Her music is very artistic, I'd say. Vanessa's 'Hear the Bells' really reminds me of Immi's 'Canvas'. Anyone else agree?

I should've seen this thread earlier, but anyways, I agree with Manny on the fact that "Speeding Cars" is brilliant! That's the song that got me into her stuff. But I think my favorite track from her has got to be "Goodnight And Go". Like most of her stuff, it's very whimsical, but this one has a fleeting, playful vibe that gets me every time. LOVE Imogen!

All I have to say is Imogen's music is like magic. The sound of her album Ellipse mixed with V's dreamy Rabbits on the Run would be a beautiful collaboration.
