OMG, I love her newest album. It is so awesome! She has a kind of eastern sound to it, and she rocks. "Cry" shows off her vocals. She is also a very awesome actress. I love "Saturate Me". She has a lot of talent and will be here for a while!
I don't think the rare music wh0re likes her but oh well!

"Only Hope" isn't her song (it's a Switchfoot song -- they're amazing!!), but I love the version she performs.
I think she has a great voice and she's B E A U T I F U L :)

Yeh, i saw her on the Today show with Katie & Matt the other day.
She was really excited about the new cd.
She says she is doing the covers because she wants our generation to get to know old songs like that.
I love Mandy shes one of my favorite singers, I cant wait to hear her new cd.

So I picked it up today at Best Buy. Of course it rang up at $13.99. I said um that is supposed to be 7.99. She said did you get it on the 7.99 rack I said no it was in the aisle under a 7.99 sign and it is in the paper. I showed her and she said ok, I just had to see it. If she would have looked close she would have seen they have a different cover. She just looked for Mandy Moore and Coverage. It didn't say limited edition but it was under a 7.99 sign so yeah...
I am listening to it now. I like it. I haven't ever heard of a lot of these songs so that's cool too. "I Feel The Earth Move" I love Martika's version so that is messing this one up for me. CK well I like Martika's cover better.

I've heard "Anticipation", "I Feel The Earth", "Help Me", "Moonshadow", "Have A Little Faith In Me", "One Way or Another", and "Drop the Pilot". I also think she sings them fantastically. I like it for both reasons. I just think "One Way or Another" is a bit cheesy (1, 2, 3, Go Mandy!)

A lot of the songs I have never heard and really like #1 and #2 (never heard).
For the most part I like them all but #4, #7 and #10.

anticipation is one of my favorite songs ever (a la carly simon), and i was somewhat scared to listen to mandy's version of it. i was surprised when i did enjoy her cover.

I just burnt a cd so I could listen to it non-stop :) I also downloaded Coverage, which I haven't listened to much, but Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters *loves Elton John* sounds really good, and so does Have a Little Faith in Me, though I have to say nothing beats the John Hiatt version.

you can tell they were already in love......when she said that...it takes a while to fall in love with someone obviously theyre feelings were mutual which made them bond so quickly....they just didnt realize it until they became closer...blah blah blah
this was just a love story that was predictable which is why it was ok but not the best...
btw mandy only makes lovey dovey movies..i think she should do something different for once...

Mandy's currently in the studio recording her first CD on Sire Records and is expecting a late 2004-early 2005 release.
Also check out for Romance and Cigarettes in theatres August 19th.

lmao... she has this song called "Crush" that I first heard when I got one of those early Now! CDs... the lyrics aren't aweful, but the way she sings the song is just so cheesy. but still sometimes fun to listen to for nostalgic purposes.

Shannon's right. Mandy apologized for her first three albums before "Coverage", which she considers shitty. She only wrote one song across the first three albums.
However, she co-wrote her entire new album, which is going to be the shit. No more shitty. It's like folky-pop and I love it. Based on the album sampler from iTunes, the song "Gardenia" is going to be my new favorite song.

I'm downloading right now from Demonoid.com. even if you're not a member, I believe you are still allowed to download new files. But there are currently only 11 seeds and 5 leechers so my downloads going to take a while unless other people tack on... even isohunt showed only one result with 2 seeds. Where did you get your files clamicas?
I'm not sure how you open a .rar file. I usually avoid those and go straight for the mp3 files when I'm downloading from torrent sites like Demonoid and isohunt... But to open a .torrent you need a program like Azureus (thats what I use because I have a mac) or uTorrent (which is apparently better because of its encryption feature>) Just thought I'd fill you all in on that! Torrent sites are the best for getting albums before they go on sale...
and while we're on the topic... does anybody wanna pm me an invite for oink? Seriously, I've got a pregnant craving for an oink invite.

Hmm, I don't really like "Extraordinary" at all, it sounds pretty adult contemporary cheesy, but "Nothing You Are" isn't bad and I might take a listen to the album.
I have always liked Mandy Moore. Though her first albums were pretty unremarkable, I always liked the songs "I Wanna Be With You", "When I Talk To You", and "In My Pocket" because it had a fun, cool sound. The others were kind of stupid and silly, but she always had potential in my opinion. I still think "Only Hope" is her best vocal I've heard so far... but I haven't heard this whole album yet!

I cheated and pirated it with CD quality. *hides* Jk, I like it and think I'll buy it. My favorite song so far is "Wild Hope". I like the music in it and the melody a lot. I like "Gardenia" too, but I feel like I wish she was singing slightly softer in parts of it. It seems like her voice has gotten a little bit lower and stronger, which isn't bad at all, but I still like her airy, quiet voice the best.
I wonder why she picked "Extraordinary" as the first single. In my opinion, it is the least mature lyrically and most corporate sounding song on the album... Well, there you go, that's probably why.

Oh I definitely agree it is a step in the right direction. The album sounds good... but there's something kinda off about it, but maybe that's just me. Sometimes it seems too light or something.

I read a review that said that the Wild Hope was musically very impressive but that the songs were not memorable, and that is the album's downfall. I think that explains it pretty well. The melodies are pleasant and the music is well put together, but the songs lack a memorability to them. After you listen to the album, it all just blends together as one nice sounding thing.
Hopefully, as she releases more albums and becomes a better songwriter, we'll hear a more distinctive album from Mandy.

I just saw her in Dayton and she was AMAZING. She looked gorgeous and she is just as good, if not better, live. It was a 30 minute-ish acoustic set and she was awesome.

this song has actually grown on me a lot. I like Mandy's version a lot better than Rihanna, but then again i've never really been a fan of Rihanna. I also love Michael Chaves' harmonies... very very nice cover.
