In my opinion, unlike Paris Hilton she can actually sing. I didn't even know she had music out, I just randomly found it through someone on MySpace. Here's a fan site where you can hear her song "Dandelion".

It's not as bad as I would be expecting. Nicole's a classically trained pianist, cellist, and violinist... I don't think that kind of music is the proper showcase of her, um, talents. Not too bad, though. People just don't like it cause it's Nicole Richie (same deal with Paris Hilton).

I'm sure everyone thinks my taste in music would suck too because I don't like what most people here like because I'm an old adult. Don't take what they're saying to heart Laura. You're entitled to like whatever the hell you want to like. I'm sure I would think some of their musical favorites suck too.

What I have a problem with is you posting to criticize others tastes when you could have just said nothing if it wasn't nice. That's highly insensitive. I can't lie, who ever could honestly take Nicole Richie seriously as a musician? I personally can't, and she did that to herself... giving off the image that she has thus far. I'm not going to bash her music just because it's not my taste but I will for sure say that it definitely isn't my taste. And that I can understand why people don't take her seriously... if you like her, wonderful... personally, I don't. I gave it a listen though.

Laura is a NESSAholic, she likes Vanessa Carlton, and so do you guys! She can like whatever she likes, she's her own person. It's cool if you don't like the same music, I think people just didn't appreciate THESE comments...

Personally, I think Nicole's voice is not bad. I don't love it, but it's not bad. I don't like the song, but maybe her other songs are better. It's hard to tell having only heard one song. I wonder how well she plays the piano.
