wow, the recording isn't too great, 8O but I'm going to try my best, I'm going to need a lot of help on this one, especially from the people who heard it live for themselves (If anyone has any other recordings, PLEASE SHARE!!!)

Wow, I really don't like it =\ I was hoping for some angry, bass hand thumping stuff more in the vein of wanted or swindler for a song called "heroes and thieves" ... instead it's like another version of This Time. Not a fan of these type of lyrics. And too much "fluffy" piano for my taste
^^edit: I feel really mean saying that. Um, I still like Vanessa as an artist, but hopefully this will be like Pretty Baby and Afterglow were for me- the one song on the album I really did not like.

i like it. i'd need to hear it on a better quality recording, etc. but i like it.. the lyrics are good. and true as hell.

So nice with a new song. I really needed a Vanessa fix :heart:
But even though I like the song, I have to admit I don't love it. The other new songs are just... better.
But I'll just listen to it some more and it will probably grow on me :D
And I may just be having a blonde moment, but wasn't it the album which was supposed to be named Heroes and Thieves?

Honestly, there are probally things I'm hearing just because of the way this recording is, but maybe not. I won't know for sure until I can hear another version.
Nicole, could you please go over your version again, and point out the things we have different, and see if you agree or dissagree with me after listening to them again.

I doubt it, but I can hope. That song is my favourite of Vanessa's. To me, it is perfection.

I also love Morning Sting, but unfortunately I doubt it's going to be on the new album. If it was to be on an album, it would have been Harmonium. But we can all hope :)

I really like the song. It has a Billy Joel sound to me. It's kind of like the music you would hear from a carousel. I like the cheerful side of V better than the dark one. Another winner on the new album.

yeah.... I think this is as accurate as we can get and everything seems to make sense..... good job everyone :thumbsup: I wonder if this album will have the whole "first half light and happy- second half dark and edgy" thing like BNN and Harmonium.....
