Title: Borat
Post by: Jophess on November 03, 2006, 07:48:41 pm
I saw this tonight in a sold-out theater. One of, if not the, funniest movies I have EVER seen. My abs hurt from laughing. It's absolutely grotesque, offensive, and hilarious.

Has anyone else seen it?
You all definately should.

Didn't see it.  Two of my roomies did.
I guess I wanna see it... looks funny.
My roommates said it was funny but really offensive.
But I guess we all already knew it would be.
They both pretty much agreed that
it's a movie that you only really wanna see once.

Watched it on DVD here last night; it was released here on DVD yesterday.

Definately a film likely to be more enjoyed by non Americans, given Borat
taking the mickey out of American culture during his "Cultural learnings of
America for make benefit glorious nation of Kazakhstan" Chenquieh  8)

Yeah that was a bit much. I can't even believe how I would have reacted if they would have crashed my banquet.

I heard something about how the people were paid very little and felt they were used or mislead and were trying to sue because he paid them like $200 for being filmed and he made so much money.

I am still confused about the ending. Did he really do that to Pamela? And was he really arrested?

It was funny but something about it annoyed/disturbed me.
