All the artists were amazing! U2 released a load of doves during Beautiful Day! Keane were so great to sing along to, as was Robbie Williams and, well, many others! The atmosphere was so overwhelming. My mates and I were about a third of the way back in the crowd of 200,000 (not as much as Philly) and if you turned around there were people as far as the eye could see! When the girl who had survived the famine came on with Madonna it brought tears to my eyes, i was just so moving. i don't think many people my age can say they have seen The Who and Pink Floyd live in their life time! You can watch the whole thing (it's in a continuous loop) on http://www.aol.com in Paris, Berlin, Philadelphia London and the Global Feed. Go check it out! Also, make sure you add your name to the petition at http://www.live8live.com.

I was there in London!! It was the most amazing, life-changing experience, but also quite hard hitting. The Who and Pink Floyd were just amazingas were thr other 22 bands (maybe with the exception of Snoop Dogg and Ms Dynamite  )

Introduce Yourself / Hey!

Hey there! I'm quite new too, but have been a VC fan since A Thousand Miles came out here in the UK. I remember I heard it on the radio and fell in love with it, but couldn't afford the single CD so bought the single on tape instead with ATM and paradise (voice and piano) on it. I listened to NOTHING ELSE the whole time I was on holiday in Italy (just those two songs back to back!) and then bought the album as soon as I got back from Italy... anyway, I'm sure I've bored everyone with that anecdote....so yeah, welcome!!!

Aw that's so pretty!   :D It's a great poem, and I love how you incorporated a 'the one' lyric into the frst and last lines. Tis truely a masterpiece!

I've transposed the opening to The Ascent of Stan, but when I tried playing it on the piano, I found it virtually impossible. :(  I have no piano training, so I find it hard to play new songs, but I can usually get it with time. That song is so freakin hard though.

That it is, that it is. I have the music book for Rockin' the suburbs so I'm all set! :D

lol pretending to be does not work. I had my violin exam about a month ago and I was pretty nervous. However, I happened to think of Vanessa and how she always gives the greatest performances, and I thought that if she can always give a perfect performance, than I could too. I guess it worked because I got a 92 on the exam!

Yay a fellow violinist! The violin rules! What grade did you do and what board do you do? It's probably different for America, but in the UK the two main exam boards are ascociated board and guildhall and there are 8 grades. I just did guildhall grade 7.
