Does anyone have the piano/vocal version of C'est La Vie? I want to transcribe it but I can't without the old version. Thanks!

I believe in the songbooks they have guitar, vocals, AND piano.

Yes, but what Evaneescence243 was saying is that the piano part is just built on the vocal melody and the chords, instead of the true accompaniment. When I got the piano book that was the only song that really annoyed me cause the rest are pretty much accurate. This is because in the european version there isn't very much piano, it is mostly filled out by guitar and strings, so rather than work out the accompaniment to the released version of the song, the publishers have just done the old trick of imitating the vocal line and just adding chords in the left hand.

My favorite nessa song of all time has to be Who's to know.  I know that I am in the minority on that one, her other songs which have granted her more fame get more credit.  But i think that on a personal level, it sounds more like she is saying how she feels and speaking to me rather than speaking and me having to interpret.  Technically though, i think that afterglow is it, it sounds rhythmically more in tune than some of her other ones.

 :!:

is anyone else slightly confused by this post? :?

I must warn you, this is my interpretation and it isn't completely accurate, but it's almost impossible to hear the piano in the bridge, so I have improvised slightly there and tried to create something that would fit with the rest of th song. Sorry if you think this is uselessly wrong, but I tried anyway...

well, have you heard the acoustic version that she did on that cassette recording at the 'Bitter End' from 1999? all i know is that during the break, it switches to G Major, then back to D Major again.

Yup, that's in the score. It's so short a modulation that I stayed in D major and put the C naturals in as accidentals.
