I love The Voice! I tried out & made callbacks. SO CLOSE to having a blind audition on the show.

Who's your favorite contestant this year? O:

Congrats on getting that far though!  If you make it on you'll have to let us know somehow (post saying " you better watch the show this season" or something along those lines if you are legally bound not to say anything. I don't know how those things work.  I did not watch this season for some reason.  I've been watching a lot less   TV as it is and that was one of the shows that didn't make MY final cut.  BUT if you were on it I would watch and vote for you of course!

Awww! Thanks buddy. (: It's the only tv show I watch, and I don't watch it habitually. I will try and let you know if I get in! (: As far as I know, there was nothing legally binding that said I couldn't tell anyone.

Personally, I don't really like Patience - the lyrical depth is much shallower than her normal output, and though I'm a fan of some electronica, I'm not feeling this one. I loooooooooove Take It Easy, though.

Hi guys!

So a couple weeks ago I posted a poll asking you guys what you wanted to hear first from my album, Sleepcycles. There was a tie, and besides that unfortunately most of the songs aren't currently finished. However, one song, Wanderer, is almost completely done. I'm sorry I couldn't totally uphold my promise, but as a consolation prize...

Wanderer is the last song and it's really just a conclusion to the EP and a sort of lyrical reprise of the first song. I hope you like it -- if not, I'm back in the studio on Thursday! Tell me what I should change.

I'm trying to keep everything live, so this is a song without any editing whatsoever right now.

OMG.  what an amazing show!! did you end up going ?  I drove 6 hours from my sisters house (then three and half hours back home) to get there but it was soooooo worth it.  She started off a little shaky but really hit her stride about three songs in.  I almost cried when she first came out on stage (which is beautifully done), also when she started heart lines which is one of my fav songs on ceremonials and means a lot to me, and then when she came off the stage -- I swear my heart stopped.  I had a couple of fuddy duddy's next to me who weren't dancing or singing so I couldn't really get into it (no room) as far as dancing and I'm glad they left a bit early (during encore) because it gave me more space to jump! I definitely recommend her show.

I'm so glad you went! I wasn't able to - had to work and I had a lot of homework to catch up on. She's magnificent - did you get any video?

Polls / Song choices!

Hey everyone!

A few days ago I promised everyone in the Nessaholics Phantom Friends Facebook group that, in exchange for their viewing my page, I'd give them the option of previewing a song the moment I finish it. Today, I released the tracklisting -

1. Cartographer
2. Shanghai
3. Explore
4. Pillow Talk
5. Strange Dreams
6. Wanderer

- and, as promised, I'd like everybody to pick, by title, the song they'd first like to hear. I will release the song to you guys privately the moment it is recorded in full.

I can't release snippets for all of them just yet (though I might post a .wav file on my Facebook page in a bit) so you only have the title to guess with. I will advise you that the first and last songs are really just intros, about a minute long. However, I'm a big fan of both of them.

I am giving everybody a few weeks to vote. The songs most likely won't be fully recorded until the first or second week of September. At that point, I will close the poll and post the song.

Hi guys! c:

As a few of you (those who haunt the creative endeavors boards) know, I recently started my own singer/songwriter solo project called The Sixth Ocean.

In a few weeks, I'll be releasing my first EP, Sleepcycles. Sleepcycles is more of a concept album than anything else - it discusses using dreaming and sleep as a method of escapism. Unfortunately, that's all I can say for now, though there will be much more coming soon.

I set up a Facebook page a few days ago in order to gain some buzz about the album, and I was wondering if you guys would like / share / comment on it for me. As a thank you gift, I will be releasing one song from the EP far before it comes out, on Nessaholics only. This process will be done pretty much by a voting type thing which I'll explain later on.

Thanks Sobri! (: I'm meeting with the owner of the studio tomorrow, so you'll be able to hear everything fully recorded very soon!

As of right now, I'm doing five - MAAAAAYBE six songs. Should be fun!

Record Tokyo Love first. I'm really looking forward for your future stuffs! Live the dream.

I'm trying! This is essentially my NYU Recorded Music portfolio.

All of them are being recorded in quick succession, I think - however many I can get done in a reasonable amount of time. c:
