I happen to love Ingrid Michaelson with a passion. If you watch Gray's Anatomy, you've probably heard her sing 'Keep Breathing' at the end of last season's finale. She's amazing, a very nessa-like vibe with a more folky sound. You should listen to more of her.

I'm not crazy about Gwen. I think she's a talented pianist, but needs a vocal coach, although she has an excellent voice and could go far. Same thing with 'nessa, how she puts feeling into her voice.
However, I think that VC has progressed a long way voice-way as well... I agree with PianoPlayer that I'd LOVE to here a V&G duet.

Haven't heard it hear yet, can only hope it will come.
However, I do wish that this one doesn't do what White Houses did (at least for my school) and become the only song people recognize from the CD. It was on a mix CD we played in Science class when doing labs sometimes, and every time it came on you'd hear about five people going, "Who sings this again?"

I know how to read music, but I'm not fantastic. I don't pick it up like some people do, but love it anyway.
The reason I decided to bring up this thread is that I've found Nessa-music very different to play than some other modern music. Very much of it is more torwards classical, and that's what I love about it. If you quit piano, and play some of her songs, try some classical songs again. You'd be surprised how much better you are!

Thanks everybody! Haha, yes, I am 13.
Beginning of January I joined a discussion forum my mom was a part of, and was basically told I had to cut out the chat speak or leave. I straightened up, and since then it's just become a habit.
I can't wait to start getting to know you all (and everyone else) here.

Hello all!
My name is Alli, and I'm a long-time VC fan. Cheesy as it sounds, some of her music helped me through a very rough time in my life. I owe some of who I am today to this music.
Anyway, as I'm sure you all will hear about that some other time, here's who I am minus nessa:
I'm a musical theatre junkie. Name a musical, I've probably not only heard of it but can probably recite a few songs from it if not have been in it. I am in two choirs, a show choir, dance, private voice, acting, possibly a traveling performance troupe, and musicals around my community all the time. I have 7 guinea pigs. If you have guinea pigs, go to guineapigcages.com and guinealynx.info. Please. It will save me a lecture about proper care- I tend to get rather defensive of other people's piggers, haha.
I play piano and guitar, albeit not very well.
Most of the time a lot of what I'm saying is either quite sarcastic or very light. I tend to muse a lot, so be warned.
I'm glad to be part of this!

hello everybody!
I'd love one that says Alli and 'how we love blindly' on it. I don't really care about the picture, but I really like what she's wearing at 00:38 & 00:41 of the Nolita Fairytale video, and although it's horribly outdated in the 'nessa world, I love the things she wears in the Ordinary Day video.
And I'd love ballet shoes or a piano to be in it, but I'm not picky.
