I have to completely DISAGREE! I think Skye has been doing an EXCELLENT job!! I saw him at the Ivar Theater show in L.A. and he was so talented and added so much to the show! The music was beautiful! And I also saw him at the end of the show and he was so nice!

Set List:
No "Fools Like Me" tonight

Yeah, I was really looking forward to hearing FLM w/o the whistles! Just her, the piano, and Sky playing the violin...but oh well. But the show WAS amazing!! It was the first time I sat down through the show, usually I've been to standing venues but it was kinda nice to sit since I'm so short! She did an awesome job with all the songs and Sky, the violinist was GREAT!  It was funny because Vanessa got really silly and giggly at some point in the concert...it was really funny! I also liked what she said about My Best. She said that she hopes things would be that way...that she could still give and receive the best from x person...but that she doesn't know if it's possible since she hasn't seen him since. Interesting....huh? But she sounded great and I LOVED More Than This!! I have a few pics but i'm not sure how to post them on here. Oh yeah and I met Sky after the show and he was so nice too...so down to earth! Then a few of us waited for Vanessa. Not too many...she finally came out but she looked rushed and like she didn't really wanna give autographs.
 :cry:  I had her sign this poster (it was on the venue's window and I got them to give it to me!) and she signed it and took a rushed picture. I knew she wanted to leave so I didn't really say much.

H& T is good album and there is no denying it. I have to disagree with all of those who say her lyrics are childish (what?)or that her vocals are bad. I think the lyrics to some of these songs are truly AMAZING!!! Their so much raw emotion to them and you can tell V has pour her heart out in them. I do however, agree that it was a little over produced. I would have preferred for the focus to be on her vocals and the piano. I was heartbroken at the arrangements on Fools Like Me because I loved the raw emotion of it when it was just her and the piano live. So V if you are reading this PLEASE MAKE AN UNPLUGGED VERSION OF THE CD!!! But regardless of anything I still think it's a great album!

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think we would have all just preferred more of a sad sound for this song...it sounded so much better live, just nessa and the piano and all of her emotion behind it.

Oh well, I still like it.

Adding whistles to a song like FLM = big nono.

LOL!! Exactly what I was thinking, I love Fools Like Me...why couldn't they have kept it all sad and acoustic the way she played live?? W/O the whistling, lol!! Oh well, I love it anyway! But Stephan, that's 2 strikes...first you break my Nessa's heart and now you mess with Fools like me!! lol

I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this song but in all honesty I liked the acoustic version of it better. I wasn't too happy with arrangements on it. It was more emotional and sad before and it's almost like they tried to make it upbeat with the arrangements. I would have been happier with the song if it was just V and the piano but it's okay I love the song regardless and I can't wait to hear it live again!

I saw the commercial on VH1 and I also heard a commercial on Star 98.7. I got all excited because I thought they were actually playing the song but then I realized it was a commercial.

I disagree. I think Home will be a GREAT single and that it's a smart move to make it a single. To get the attention of those who are not fans you have to give them something that they can relate to and I think Home hits home for most people. Hands on me is a wonderful song but I really think that audiences will embrace Home...possibly more than Nolita even (once again only because they can relate to it). But what do I know, that's just my opinion.

I can't wait to get OUT OF WORK so I can listen to the CD...this is driving me nuts!!

I will definitely tune in to see more of Vanessa! I hope the publicity will help H&T. Plus the show doesn't seem bad...not something I would usually be into but it does seem somewhat entertaining.

Awesome Awesome interview. Slant Magazines asked great questions.

I agree! It's refreshing to read an interview from someone who is asking good questions! I love it that Slant Magazine did their research and knew what is going on in V's career and could therefore ask different questions. Great interview!
