Soo, I have this assignment to turn a poem into a song. Meaning, the poem lines become the lyrics and the music needs to be written. But, I know absolutely NOTHING about playing piano let alone writing piano music.
So, since there are so many very talented piano players on this site, I thought some of you may be able to help me
I have the first line of notes I would like to use but I don't have any set tempo or anything yet. Also, the dash marks are the syllables I'd like to last just slightly longer when singing. Anyways, here's the poem:


Someday- in a crow-ded place-
CGFECGE
I'll see- your old- famil-iar face
 
Yes, you'll- be old- and so will I-
 
And hindsight- will have made us wise-
 
And stones- that used to weigh- so much
 
Will simply- topple at the touch-
 
But through our aged- eyes- I will see
 
You- young- and strong- and you'll see me
 
Still wild- and beautiful- and free-

Hmm I wonder what their definition of EP is?  If it's the standard four or so songs, then we might have something really exciting to look forward to.  But I'm worried that their definition of an EP is releasing "Bride" as a single with an acoustic version and calling it an EP cuz it's more than one track XD  That probably (hopefully) won't be the case, though.

Maybe we'll get Moneymaker!

I have this feeling that Vanessa might get a grammy nomination for Rabbits

Part of me thinks there's more chance of Lord Victor going to Real World Studios, recording an album + getting a Grammy nomination than Vanessa being nominated herself, but it would be really nice to see Vanessa finally get some recognition in the industry. Don't wanna get my hopes up too much, haha.

Is anyone else a fan of Spring Street? Because it almost reduces me to tears everytime I listen to it; like no other song. It's just so beautiful yet heartbreaking.

I was actually in Seattle the otherday and they have a Spring Street there but I had no idea they did. I got really excited haha
