thanks! I never did finish exploring the NPR thing she did.  It seemed like a longer interview but the part I listened to was about 5 minutes and 2 minutes were spent on an introduction and 2 minutes of the broadcaster talking so it was like, 1 minute of her actual responses.

I took a screen shot of that from her IG story.. but I'm not entirely convinced it's her hand writing.. she's writes more neatly than that, no?

she tweeted a lot about this venue and how badly it treats their artists.  she posted pics of their dressing room -- disgusting and flea infested, she said.

Yes, Annie was beautiful live. She explained the story fully, too, which was nice. Really hearing something from the Harmonium era besides WH and hell even WTS was such a treasure. I'm sad I never saw her during those tours.

me too. I saw one concert in BNN days, before she really hit big I think.  i had always bought her albums but I began to become passionate about her music before rabbits came out, so i missed a lot of stuff.

she better freaking tour again!! I can't attend any of these shows because I have a four month old and she is not coming close enough to me for me to leave for just a few hours.  I think i'd die.
well not really, but you get it.  I appreciate the detailed account!! I feel like a lot of nessaholics are the same in that we don't usually crowd her or descend upon her like vultures when we see her.
sorry you didn't get the front row! I'd be mad too.

that's great! I can't believe she is playing annie but I think she does sometimes take what we say to heart.. (2011 before rabbits came out when she was touring, people kepts asking for it) and wants to please us. plus with her "new" album out Earlier Things, it stands to reason she is going to play some of the older stuff.. I LOVE hands on me when she sang it in 2011 she slowed it way down so i'm curious to hear what her spin on it now is with the new style.

people have been posting set lists on the facebook fan page.. and Annie has been played.  I have not been on facebook for a month so I missed that news.. no one posts here anymore!  with 2 kids, and one only 4 months old/exclusively breastfeeding, I really can't get away more than I already am for work! or I'd go to the Pawling, NY show

on her latest instagram post she said this will be her last tour for awhile.. I was sad at first because I won't be able to attend any of the shows, but maybe that means a new album is in progress.. unless it just means focusing on her family as well as letting John tour since he has an album coming up right?

I should have posted days ago.. but did any one catch her new song she posted on instagram??? it was in an instagram story so I think those disappear after awhile.  I;m not sure we you can see the video now. but the song was sooooooooo good.  it's actually the first time I got chills from one of her songs.  the video was of her view while in mexico, written on the screen was "love is art" and she sang that in the song.  I forget the words now but they may come back to me later.  I hope she plays some new stuff on tour though I won't be going to any shows this time around.

General Vanessa Carlton Discussion / Re: Liberman Live album!

I finally was able to listen to it. I love it!  Liberman in general is different from her other albums and the way they bring it to life on stage is different from the album, so it's nice to have it captured on an official CD.  I love the live version of Willows and was super sad to learn that skye does not make an appearance on that song on the studio album.. so this is perfect.

ordered a copy today. I'm not sure if I'll get the autograph though, it said my order number was 969 so if that's how many orders were placed then I'm definitely out!  I'm glad we'll finally get to hear this show.  I still wonder what the video is that Jessie deflorio referred to on twitter..

It's so hard to predict because her timeline has always been so random and you just never know with her.  i always hated the comments she would make about possibly never releasing another album (shes been saying these types of things since the h&t era) so i hope we don't have to worry about that.  i really do hope we get a dvd...the entire show was recorded..and there are two songs up on her youtube from that show.

I think (hope) when she makes those comments she just doesn't want to put pressure on herself or feel like she HAS to make another album.  I think she's the type where she would rather let things flow organically and if something comes from that, so be it.  if not, then it's no big deal.  She is a musical person... it's been in her blood since conception, she will never leave it behind completely, I am sure.  It's just what she does, or doesn't do with that is the question.  Being free of a label really lets her explore and do what she wants.  I don't think she will ever stop performing either, especially since her husband is in the business as well.
There was a tweet recently (Jessie deflorio, I believe) said he was editing a vanessa video.  no answer on what that was all about.
I think they did the whole show, I thought I saw it mentioned somewhere on twitter or instagram

yes I know! they recorded the Nashville show, that should so be released some how for fans.
I'm not sure about a new album.  I do know that the first year of motherhood is very hard and tiring.  I'm not sure she would have the energy to really write or play around with songs.  She may have jotted things down or has ideas in her head.  now that she's past the first 18 months things should be looking up for her in regards to the child/seeping/routines/etc.  she may have more time to explore things she may have felt/thought during that first year.  I Hope that some of her new material, if she has any, will have a little to do with her growing family.
2018 seems a hefty goal for our girl, lol.  I mean, liberman was in the works for a loooooong time before it actually came out.  rabbits too!  I think 2018 is very optimistic.
