Dear California is wayyy too cute, catchy and radio-friendly to not be a single. Not that I care whether VC makes it to charts again.
IDWTBAB is wow a trite but still decently catchy.
I'm not getting FF just yet. it reminds me A LOT of H&T.
anw melody wise, these 3 songs are so different than Carousel and the supposed vibe of the album. Compared to Carousel they are energetic and robust. I was kinda expecting a dreamy soothing and fantasy sound but I guess VC still retains some commercial elements (IDWTBAB and DC got me hooked the seconds the songs start!)
oh my effing god, finally Vanessa, finally. 4 years.

@alanisrox69: I would like to apologize to you and state that at one point Nessaholics were NOT this irregularly fanatical, and we were very diverse, respectful and accepting of others' disagreement on VC.
... wow to think back, that was a long long time ago, when her official forum during the Harmonium era was filled with very different but humble fans.
now it is scary to read comments of these hard-core VC fans and see how blindly they are in attacking absolutely anyone who just does not praise Vanessa as THE Goddess.
sad sad sad. Shame on the rest of Vanessa's fans. if she has any. because yup you are right, alanisrox69, Vanessa Carlton is not the nicest idol out there. Which is completely fine by me. but the it is the reactions of these obsessed Nessaholics that turned me against Vanessa herself. and the community has been dwindling down ever since these hardcore fans took over.
I miss the old friends on these boards. I wonder if they still care enough for VC to sometimes check the forum now that she is releasing a new album.

Im fan, at least ex-fan, of Britney, Ashlee, Lindsay, Hilary Duff etc. those that you would probably identify as talentless, commercial, industrial, retarded, plastic singers.
at the same time I love, or used 2, Vanessa Carlton, Michelle Branch, Garbage, Jewel etc. those that you would probably feel safe to name as "my favorite singers cause they are real artists who sing/write/produce their own music with great talents."
yup welcome to the real world of music lovers. we love music and we are not afraid to love whatever fits out ears and we say that out loud to those who think they are superior and condescending because they "only listen to true music by true singers"

Both titles sound great to me actually! VC's been putting out good titles for her albums (except for Heroes & Thieves in my humble opinion)
