General Vanessa Carlton Discussion / Vocals?

I was just sitting here, listening to some V, when I realised something. I have never heard Vanessa utilize any sort of vibrato when singing? I know not everybody uses it, but I have been reading up a lot on it recently, and - although I'm not sure of it's validity - I read somewheres that vibrato is a natural happening, when everything, breathing, posture, diaphragm, etc. are all in proper, correct coordination. If this statement is seen to be true, does that mean Vanessa isn't singing 'correctly'? So, in this way, I was just wondering about your guys views on Vanessa's vocals, whether you think she's technically good, or whatever?

Two:

Jealous of the attention Troy and Gabriella's newfound talents have received; Ryan and Sharpay set out to restore the "natural balance" of life. Their plan: break up Troy and Gabriella, so they will not want to be in the spotlight. In an attempt to break the two up, Sharpay fakes drowning at the pool, which means that lifeguard Troy has to give her mouth to mouth. At the same time, Ryan makes Gabriella think that Troy is cheating on her with Sharpay. There will be a completion at a Country Club. Will Troy and Gabriella end up back together and sing at the completion or will Sharpay and Troy be feeling the start of something new?

As for the first one, as much I am ashamed to admit it, I really liked it. There is like an hour or something I think till the second is released in the US, and I can't wait for it to come to the UK. My only fear is that it won't live up to expectations.

What are your thoughts?

Hey!

I was wondering, if after the release of H&T, if V becomes big again (when should I say :razz:) what shows would you like her to go on? For one, over here in England, there is a show called the Friday night project, they have a Celebrity guest host every week. This week it is Kayne West... I would love V to go on it :razz:.

What shows would you guys like her to be on?

On the Nessaholic lyrics, it says that C'est La Vie live has some differences to the one of Harmonium. I was wondering if there was any video/audio where V plays and sings C'est La Vie like this? I would be so grateful .

Well hi everyone.

I have been here for a while, but scarcely posted, so now I am getting more active. I love TV shows, like Buffy, Charmed, The OC, Desperate Housewives, and my newest obsession is Grey's Anatomy. .

I love Vanessa Carlton obviously, and I play piano also. Oh, and my name is Jon :razz:.

I was just watching an episode of Charmed, 'Prince Charmed' and right after the opening credits, Rinse started playing. Also, in another epi, San Francisco was playing after the credits too.

Have any of use heard? or have you heard her on another show?

I mean even she has said she is not a pop princess.
