Polls / Would you hire an Image Consultant?

Would you consider hiring an Image Consultant (also known as personal stylist, personal shopper, fashion stylist etc.) to make over your wardrobe and recommend the best colours and styles of clothes and accessories (also possibly makeup and hair styles) to suit you and your body shape, colouring & lifestyle?

(I'm asking because I will be a certified Image Consultant in a few months and I am just curious about what people think of the industry and services. I haven't seen one myself but the study is interesting, challenging, in-depth and fun.)

Completely Off-Topic / What's with all the short hair haters!?

I have fairly long hair, but have had it cut short in the past- a feminine cut, like Keira Knightley had hers for the movie Domino, not a boyish style.

I'm thinking about cutting it short again because I like it, and so does my boyfriend. He actually prefers short hair, as long as it's a good style that suits girls. I'm a bit indecisive though as it takes a long long time to grow back, so I asked myspace friends their opinion (and I posted a pic here a few years back too). I got a lot of negative responses, mostly from guys! I don't understand. They act as if girls with short hair are ugly, which is definitely not the case- there are plenty of ladies who look gorgeous with short hair (like Keira Knightley). Their comments will definitely not stop me from getting it cut if I decide that's what I want to do, but it's a bit disheartening...

I'm interested to see what you think about the topic.

Do you miss Vanessa's "dark side"/ "goth"-ness that she showcased through songs like "Wanted", "Half A Week Before the Winter" etc. or do you like the direction her music is taking now?

I know her music was never all "dark", but it was a big element in her music and now it's mostly gone...

Did anyone here used to play it when they were a kid?
(I perhaps still play it, hehe)
It's a video board game. The original is hosted by "The Gatekeeper", and the sequels have different hosts. There's  DVD version out now, but I've heard that it's not as good.

Creative Endeavors / "It's Like..."

I have a new song up. It's called "It's Like..." (with the dot dot dot   )
I'm not completely happy with it, so I'm going to re-record the whole thing. However, this version will be up there until the new recording is ready, so let me know your thoughts.




BTW my boyfriend is on drums and bass, but for the new recording I will play, and the parts will be different.

Creative Endeavors / "What Did I Miss?" & "Death is a Dark Rom

I've finally put up two demo tracks of two of my own songs on myspace.
They are entitled:
"What Did I Miss?"
and
"Death is a Dark Romance".
That's me singing and playing the piano. They were a bit of a rush job but I'm fairly happy. I will appreciate it if anyone has a listen and responds to this. Not everyone will like it, but seeing as Vanessa is an influence of mine, some of you Nessaholics might
