Completely Off-Topic / Remember Beavis and Butthead

Its a pretty stupid show but this right here kills me...this picture is an unaltered mugshot

the real beavis

he is on http://www.oregonlive.com/weblogs/oddblog/index.ssf?/mtlogs/olive_oddblog/archives/2004_1.html#012411 because he was arrested wearing his moms clothes..I hope none of you puke at the site of the picture

edit:  well its at the oregon live site, for some reason it wont let me link it so here is the fascinating story

Do you miss Beavis and Butthead? Wonder where they went after they did America? Well, have I got good news for you! Turns out Beavis, in human form, is alive and well -- and committing crime right here in Oregon. Not only is this guy the spitting image of the animated headbanger also known as Cornholio, he was arrested under ... odd circumstances last week.

Chris Kemp, 37, was found inside a Gresham man's home wearing the resident's mother's clothing and playing music last Friday night. To be specific, Kemp was wearing Carlos Castillo's mother's leopard-skin hat and matching scarf. Castillo confronted the alarmingly large-foreheaded intruder, who then returned money he'd stolen and agreed to wait for the police to arrive.

So, you're asking, what about all the scratches on Kemp's huge forehead? No one knows for sure, but Kemp has garnered a bit of a cult following since his mug shot hit the 'Net last week, and The Smoking Gun offers this insight:

As for the ... mug shot taken by the Multnomah County Sheriff, no, the image has not been manipulated to make Kemp resemble a light bulb or balloon. And he apparently got those forehead scratches during an earlier encounter with some sort of brier patch, details of which TSG has not uncovered.
The unfortunately famous Kemp has also been featured on Kemp is also featured on mugshots.com and in the Glasgow Daily Record.

Completely Off-Topic / funny, weird, or just plain freaky
« on: October 22, 2003, 07:31:50 am »
I have a fascination with strange websites.  I could sit for hours reading stories about "what people saw" such as ghosts or weird creatures etc.  Anyways if anyone is interested in some spooky or silly stuff i think the best site i have found is http://www.weirdnj.com .  Its all about New Jersey, which most of us know is a weird place already   .  The stories about closed off mental hospitals always excite me, mainly because i know a few in the Boston area which can be quite interesting at night.  If anyone knows and weird sites for other states or any other interesting websites to help retain consciousness in the hours of boredom we all surely suffer from daily i want them!!   Do you know any weird places near you? and personal stories would be cool to hear too, like ghost stories, places you have been, etc.  This thread will probably just fall off, but you dont have me fooled, i know weird and freaky things captivate you all

gone to watch the sunset
falling from the trees
in cool autumn breeze
left to relax on waters
pulling from the horizon
pouring out to the right
out viewing growing
in shadows of sunlight
reflecting off to sea
at dark playing in hues
away from this place
hands resting along side
drawing grass between
fingers tingling webs
walking far past the wood
lying, hiding in lull
roaring gently on
to the rock on the edge
where a castle rises
into the clouds further
down the shore at the tip
tops of trees pinning
away from the structure
taking in its vision.
gone to watch the sunrise
up into the leaves
bowing towards space
near the oceans above
growing closer staring in
out forever hugging mother
collecting earth's release
flowing along in wind
spreading out in shade
taking in sun peacefully
wandering into open air
stepping out for a bit
looking at the tides edge
away from the depths
where sandspecks sparkle
a small escape from heat
soaking in cool bays
sheltered under a universe.
at home or away from home

you want to step in the fire fresh
out of the calm pool water the waves
crashing on your face an explosion
fireworks time blended into a flash
crash metal crumples accident life
impeached trees revolving there
comsumption flesh interior thoughts
habitual reliance in home none other
your own clean floors dinner table
dishes misses you and love my life
kisses eloquence petal pierces metal
incredible long stalks of growth
sunshine consume mind behind insecurities
purities revel the horizon level with you
arms around her you surround earth in loving
arms war succumbs bravery released slavery i
claim this land at my feet under the deity
he who is fleshless walks over ground pools
restitude surrounds with leverage from the
plateau of dirt remembrance

the stuff in parenthesis isnt really part of it...its just to justify the sections...

(birds)

the sparkle of their pattering hum selects it
self upon the eardrums
lullubies of their fly wings flick patterns
in to the cushioning air
vacation every year

(cats)

the glazed over look of rebellion scampers
in light switches
limb swishing a harmonic tick tock
counting down the inevitable
a playful fury

(dogs)

a mustered up pout implies guilt up
on their greatest keeper
"no" he replies. "lie down". leaves
rustle in their sigh of acceptance
a reliant alliance

(rabbits)

a trickling slink across the spring
padding through thickets
the simple and suffice softness
allots continuance
the smile on the little girl's face

Creative Endeavors / Being young at the dinner table

I may have known when his hand slammed fists pound into the stain lathered wooden countertop.  His words knives, not carving like thanks to be given, but a rabbit like pounce across the once living beast.  The cries of whom could only be heard by the already deceased creators of the human thought to be mindless creation.  Its dead eyes stare with powerful emotion. Happiness and anger, whichever was activated as flies were swished away in the broomlike waltz.  I might have known that this meal was blessed by the almighty, but he couldnt stop using his name in vain as he pounded his way.   His way to get you to do what he wants, his way to work every day, his way to the varnished box to quiet his insecurities.  As he threw the kickstand back like the bull rider and rattled off into oblivion i knew, i almost knew.  It was only to help people, until he found himself.
