Completely Off-Topic / It seems London is being bombed..

Explosions have taken out the entire underground network and soon after (when everyone rushed to the buses), there were several explosions on buses. Now London is gridlocked and everyone is standing around in the streets unable to get anywhere. Hopefully there isn't going to be a grand finale :S

It's been a long day. I'm bored. So I'm posting.

Someone replied to a thread I was watching from two years ago and I suddenly received an email that reminded me this place existed, so I thought I should at least stop by now and then and say hello .. so .. hello. Hope everyone is doing good and staying out of trouble!

I've been very busy with work mostly. Got a job interview tomorrow for a bigger and better and ultimatley busier place, so I'll have more money but less time, lol. Ah well.

Magrat died last night because she missed Boo so much. I guess she couldn't handle the stress of it all and the extra cuddles and chocolate drops from me weren't enough to keep her happy =(

I've been planning to get back into karate for a little while now and for the past week or so decided to buy a proper 4ft punch bag. I found a cool sports shop in town that sell all kinds of martial arts and training equipment, which is cool.

So I just went and bought it .. and then .. I picked it up o_0

God damnit those things are heavy!!! I'm not a big guy .. geez. So that was my first mistake. The second one was turning down a trolley they offered me!! I live in town .. can't be that difficult to carry something home, even if it does probably weight more than me!!!

Aaaaargh. I had to stop twice. The first stretch I had it on my shoulder but had to stop before it broke my shoulder and after that I couldn't physically lift it onto my shoulder so had to carry it.

I'm still shaking and sweating! o_0

I also think the hook won't hold that bag up for long .. argh.

So .. all in all .. a very well thought out purchase!!! =P

Anyway. I'm going to go die somewhere now.. and stick my head in a bucket of ice water or something.

FAQ / Board Issues / Anyone else having problems sending PMs?

They're going in my Outbox but seem to just be sitting there. Are there any issues we should be aware of, or will it eventually kick in and send them?

There are two from today that haven't gone and also two from 7th July. Will they go eventually? Seven days seems a long time to me =/

Just letting everyone I talk to know that I may not be about for a little while because my monitor is on it's last legs. It's covered by an on-site warranty so I "should" be able to get it sorted out. In the meantime I'll see if I can borrow a crappy monitor from a friend or something.

But if I'm not around for a while then at least you'll know why. I should be able to check PMs and emails elsewhere though.

.. and just so a mod doesn't see this as an "I'm going" or "I'm back" thread.. what does everyone think about fish eh?

Got a text message from Eddie Izzard earlier (via the website ; ) and it says ..

Just sitting on the plane waiting to take off to Australia. I'm playing Melbourne on the 16th. So enjoy the summer weather (if you're in the UK). Eddie x

I don't think he realises how hot it is in Aus despite it being winter lol =)

So.. if you're an Aussi and listened to me ranting on about Eddie and said to me "Oooh I should go see him if he visits!" then .. go to Melbourne! Now! Go Go Go! =P

Completely Off-Topic / Stinging Nettles Sting

I spent most of today clearing out nettles bigger than my house so I can paint my Dad's fifty million mile fence. They were so huge they kept breaking the strimmer so I ended up hacking away at them with a verrry sharp scythe (we like scythes .. they are fun!). But as a result I'm now covered in stinging nettle stings lol.

They're not painful, they're just damn itchy annoying things.. anyone know how to put a stop to them with simple household ingrediants? I have no special creams or ointments or 'anti sting' solutions =/

Does wholegrain mustard mixed with household bleach work? =P

I keep getting this bizarre dream all the time about going back to school even though I'm blatantly a bit beyond school now. Every time I'm running late and I don't know where I'm supposed to be when I get there. Kind of an anxiety thing I guess.

Anyone else get recurring dreams or nightmares? I used to get the standard drowning nightmare all the time when I was young to the point where I learnt to wake myself before it got to the drowning bit.

I really don't understand how 'I'm back' can't be a conversation with many people, but I wouldn't want to go arguing with the mods now would I ; )

Had a great time thanks. Lots of relaxing and pondering life. Was a cottage with a heated pool that overlooked a huge bay complete with beach and sea and a sun that went down right in the middle every night, so I watched some damn purdy sunsets from the beach. Very nice indeedy =)

I took a load of photos and people I went with are getting some CDs made up for me, so I'll post a load of pics if you like.

I hope you've all been behaving yourselves =P
