Milla is actually one of our forum own!  She just released her demo, and I am absolutely in love with it!  I've been listening to her rough cuts for months now; those were the gems that hooked me. But this demo is...well...AWESOME!  I highly recommend you give it a listen, even if just to support one of our beloved own.

This is a local band (Los Angeles) that I just discovered last night.  Happened upon one of their live performances, and I was blown away.  They sounded so professional at the gig, inspite of it being a very low tech setup (TINY venue).  I came back home and bought their first CD online; can't wait to get that.  So anyway, I wanted to post a link to their site so other people could check them out.  I think they RAWK.

My dad just called me to tell me he heard on the radio that Vanessa is going to be on the Star Lounge tonight at 5:00.  I am going to try and tape it and put it online, equipment willing.

General Vanessa Carlton Discussion / Vanessa in October Issue of InStyle Magazine

There is a two page blurb with Vanessa on the "White Houses" video in the October issue of InStyle magazine.  You can find it on pages 368 and 370.  It's a nice little thing, but the magazine was a little too expensive to warrent picking up a copy to scan.  (Sorry, but I have to save money for my trip to Seattle!)  So anyway, drop by the local Borders or Barnes & Noble and have yourself a look-see.

James Rollins is one of the best writers writing today.  I stubbled across his first book several years back and was HOOKED.  His novels are of the adventure/thriller flavor, and they have only gotten better with each one.  His latest novel, Sandstorm, was just released, and I am about a quarter of the way through it.  So far it is INSANELY good!  I highly recommend this amazing author's work.  His previous novels are:

• Subterranean
• Excavation
• Deep Fathom
• Amazonia
• Ice Hunt

They are all currently available in paperback.  I'm telling you, pick one up.  You won't be disappointed.

If you like the Coen Brothers' sense of humor and style, this is a MUST SEE!  I loved the movie and Tom Hanks was just incredible.  But if you didn't like O' Brother, you should probably avoid this movie as well, because you obviously don't know a good movie when you see one!  :razz:

GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!  Even if you aren't a Kevin Smith fan, this was perhaps one of the most perfectly made films I have ever seen.  I have never fallen this hard in love with a movie.  Just trust me, you have to see this film!
