Anyone else like her music?
I personally think she and Vanessa are similar, when they dip into their dark sides. Anyone else heard of her?

Polls / 2nd Harmonium single
« on: March 01, 2008, 10:33:02 am »
if it wasn't for the White Houses controversy, what would you have wanted to be the next single for Harmonium?

Personally, I think Private Radio or San Francisco would've been good choices, and would've got her into good graces with MTV and her old record company.
I also have great images for "She Floats", but they would probably cut out the violin intro, and although it's beautiful, i don't think it would help her much, cos most everyday people would want to prefer to listen to Private Radio over She Floats.

Polls / What should be the next single?

we have Nolita Fairytale and Hands On Me off the board, so what now?

I think probably Fools Like Me or Come Undone. I think those are the most radio-friendly, and plus they're really cool and easy to relate to. guess it's a tie! but maybe i'm leaning a little more towards Fools Like Me, cos that's just my ultimate favorite for some reason.

Creative Endeavors / A few original songs
« on: February 15, 2008, 06:27:39 pm »
I only have piano arrangements for two of these (Illusions and Lies, Broken-Hearted Lullaby). I'm gonna try and make a few piano arrangements for the others too:

copyright 2007-2008 (depending on the song)
ILLUSIONS AND LIES

 didn't know, I didn't know

about those illusions and lies

standing right before my eyes

I didn't know, I didn't know

all you told me , so far-fetched

I never stretched, past that....

CHORUS

Now I know, Now I know

all I thought before was not so

now i know, now i know

so much more

about these illusions and lies

I didn't know, I didn't know

you were complicated

makin' me, makin' me frustrated

no idea (no)

I was the one who was blind

and you were the swindler with your complex mind

CHORUS

BRIDGE:
No, I don't believe you

need to know for myself, what's right

I may be wrong

but my my truth is much stronger

yeah, much stronger

than your....

CHORUS

JUST LISTEN
whispering): Just, just listen....

I used to think that you could hear me

just through telepathy

and i stayed strong, i stayed strong

only to hear that i was wrong

i've been searching in my heart

and i hope to find the missing part

CHORUS:

please, just listen

just listen to me now

just listen, just listen

just listen to what im trying to say

and maybe God, will tell you what will happen someday

with us.

just listen to those faint heartbeats

that will someday mean everything

i used to think that you could see me...

yeah, you could see through me

past that outer, sheilding layer

that leads to what's really there

and i've been searching in my mind

and i hope to find....

CHORUS

BRIDGE:
I used to whisper songs as i sleep

i used to to keep

everything

i used to wish i had wings

i used to wish i could sing

to you....

only for you.....

CHORUS

ahh oh, eh-eh, oh oh

oh, oh oh, eh-eh

ahhhhh.....

(whispers) Just listen....to me

BROKEN-HEARTED LULLABY
Getting out of the car I heard the news

smile on my face

but it's no happy embrace

I'm being smothered in

CHORUS:

so when i lie awake in bed that night

i sing that lullaby

i was taught

and remember my broken heart

I'm so sorry

 Ill pray for you

they have nothing better to say, nothing better they can do

i've hit an all-time low

CHORUS

so i sit there randomly strumming my guitar

and nothing so far

and i sit there hitting the keys on my piano

i can't let go.

I sit there banging on my drums

and i can't help but to bottle it all inside and to keep mum!

No matter what I'm still so broken hearted

CHORUS (x2)

Yeah yeah yeah (x2)

yeah...ooo

CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISISM is welcome. Hope they don't sound too cheesy. please tell me (nicely) if you think they do.

Polls / As Told By Ginger Songs
« on: January 23, 2008, 08:41:16 pm »
ok, some people may not know this show because for some reason, even though it was THE LAST OF THE BEST NICKTOONS IN THE WORLD AND FOR SOME REASON PEOPLE DIDN'T GIVE IT THE CREDIT IT DESERVED.
Anyway, it was about a nerdy girl named Ginger Foutley going through middle school, and facing all the middle school expiriences with her friends Dodie, Macie, and Darren.
Anyway, near the end of it's running, Ginger starts to write poems and write songs, instead of just her usual recording stuff into a journal. Also, Darren wrote a song for Ginger, when they become boyfriend/girlfriend at the end of 8th grade.  And in addition, the popular girl, Courtney Gripling, also had a themesong. lol :D
I'll provide a link to each of the songs:

Polls / What is your favorite saying from H&T
« on: January 15, 2008, 04:24:23 pm »
I bought the H&T album on iTunes, and a digital little booklet came with it, full of lyrics (too tiny to read), and sayings, i guess you could call them. Which one do you like the best?

Polls / Favorite Vanessa Carlton cover
« on: December 16, 2007, 01:34:58 pm »
Hey guys! so this is Where The Streets have no name vs. Paint it Black, both covered by Vanessa Carlton. Paint it Black (by Rolling Stones) on BNN, and Where The Streets Have No Name (by U2), on her UK (i dunno if this is right) version of Harmonium. Which is better? Which does it better? the original band, or VC?
