Live Shows / New York, NY - 03/10/2017 - City Winery
« on: November 17, 2016, 03:02:39 pm »
Hi everyone,

You probably know by now that Vanessa is gonna tour the US again in 2017! She'll be in NYC on March 10th for 2 shows on the same day at the City Winery.

See you there guys!  ;)

Live Shows / 12/8/15 FTC (Fairfield Theatre Company) - Fairfield, CT

Hi guys,

Another (!) unannounced show.

Tickets are already on sale here:

* Important Information Regarding October Tour Dates
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Unfortunately due to a medical emergency, we are terribly sorry to have to reschedule the last four dates for Vanessa's Oct run starting with the Birchmere show tomorrow, October 17th and including the Charlotte, Nashville and Atlanta shows. The November tour is unchanged. Please be assured that Vanessa is fine but the nature of the issue is such that it needs to be tended to immediately.

Changing show dates is an incredibly big deal to us and we want to apologize sincerely for any inconvenience. Tickets will be honored at the new dates (once we re-schedule them) but if you feel you would prefer a refund, please seek that at the ticket point of purchase.

I hope she's okay...  :-[

So the show was 40 minutes. I had a meet & greet (because I got the VIP ticket) before the show. When she saw me, she was like "hey, I know you!". She was sweet, she said I looked well. I got a new pic with her as well.

She said she was going back to England soon to complete the recording of the new album. No name yet apparently.

So the setlist was:

Carousel (Learning to Fly intro)
Tall Tales For Spring
7 Swords (from the forthcoming album)
White Houses
The Willows (from the forthcoming album)
A Thousand Miles
A Matter of Time (duet with John McCauley) (from the forthcoming album?)
In Our Time (with John McCauley)
The Marching Line

The news songs are really cool, especially "The Willows" and "7 Swords".

They said she's gonna be touring the US in October & November and that her new album will be coming out next year.

edit: download link is here.

Hey guys!

Just announced on FB:

Entertainment - Movies / TV / Books / American Idol '09
« on: January 15, 2009, 12:26:45 pm »
So I wonder if anyone here still watches the show?
I still do and there was a girl who sang "ATM" on last night's episode.
She sounded pretty good (her name is Casey).
Also, there's this girl named Stevie (after Stevie Nicks actually) who's one to watch I think.

General Vanessa Carlton Discussion / "Hands On Me" cd single
« on: January 03, 2008, 04:32:28 am »
Look what arrived in my maiblox today:

(click to make bigger)

The cd has only one track, I've checked and it's the exact same version as on the album.
I was hoping they would put a p&v version as a B-side but I guess I was wrong.  :?

ps: it is a radio-promo cd only btw.

Live Shows / 11/20/2007: Joe's Pub - New York, NY (review)
« on: November 20, 2007, 08:20:02 pm »
Nicole (ILoveHanson) and I are bringing you tonight's review!! :D

Nolita Fairytale
Hands On Me
Heroes & Thieves
Ordinary Day (Divide & Conquer version)
My Best
C'est La Vie
Who's To Say
Half A Week Before The Winter
The One
All Is Well...err, White Houses (first verse of AIW but she forgot the lyrics and played WH instead, which she was gonna skip apparently)
Fools Like Me
A Thousand Miles
More Than This

"Words can't describe what we witnessed tonight" (Nicole)
All I can do is agree with the above statement.
V rocked out Joe's Pub and we were right on the front to enjoy it!
I was freezing my butt off outside since 4 and no one showed up until like 5.30 (doors opened at 6) = LAME!
The good thing was I got to see Irv, Mark and most of V's people.
Then Vanessa arrived followed by...a camera! I was later told by Irv (who disappeared inside btw, IRV WHERE THE HECK WERE YOU?!) that it was for a DVD.
She messed up more than usual though (videos later).
But we got to meet her afterwards (and so did A LOT of people).
Ta-da! (I'll edit this later cause I don't feel like writing more right now)

edit: added full names of the songs (looks better!). I still need to upload pics, will do that when I'm home after all because I've got quite a busy schedule ahead of me here in NYC.

FAQ / Board Issues / "New" option for posts
« on: February 23, 2007, 08:00:42 am »
Hi Katia (and Trolan too, hehe),

I was wondering if it would be possible to add a little option to the board.
There's a board I go to that has a small "New" written next to the post title: it's very useful to know the posts that have been created since the last visit.
If it's not too much work to set it up, it'd be very nice to have this new "option" available.
Thank you :)

Other Musicians / Cheyenne Kimball
« on: October 23, 2006, 06:26:12 pm »
I bought her cd today for $10.00 and I have to admit it's good!
I've never heard about her before but she apparently has (had?) a show on MTV.
Anyway, her music is pop/rock, a genre I enjoy :)
Give her a listen if you like it too!
