I wrote this last night - Very, very late last night. So consider when your reading: it was written by an extremly tired insomniac who used his last bit of brain power. Dont mind the punctuation!
Happy reading...
You stand there,
Breathe deeply and sigh.
But it’s not a sigh of relief.
More of pain and frustration
Just thinking of what
You’re doing to your body,
And can’t stop.
One more hit
Of the good-stuff and you
Glide above the world.
Then you crash to the ground like
Thunder and think to yourself
“Is it worth it?”
But, you still can’t stop.
Your body begs for more and
You feed it.
It’s a vicious cycle
Where no end
Can be seen, except
One of
Heartbreak and suffering.
You lie there.
No Breath.
No sigh.
