FAQ / Board Issues / Christmas Logos

Ritght - we'd like you to design a Christmas logo for the boards. Rules are as follows.

1) Has to have a pic of VC, unicorn, or something VC related
2) Has to have NESSAholics.com Forums written on it somewhere
3) Has to be under the Christmas theme
4) It must be 200x91 pixels
5) You may only submit 1

Cut off date is prolly around the 23th, then we have time to do a poll.
We look forward to seeing what you come up with. Go get creating!!

Helloooooo. I meant to start this earlier, but got all caught up with coursework...anywhooo, here it is!

We'd like you to design a Hannukah logo for the boards. Rules are as follows.

forget me nots
round ever corner
growing in amongst the weeds
reminders of you
everywhere I look
spreading seeds

trapped in a garden
surrounded by images of you
even when the birds sing
they play your tune
I see now you meant it
when you said I'd never forget you

these dainty blue flowers
have turned me to rust
tied up in knots
and crumbling to dust

forget me nots
like you used to put in my hair
on those bright summer days
I remember you there
in that garden of ours
where we sat in summer
and we'd play those games for days

strolling by the river
trying to forget
all the memories of you
all the pictures I kept
now float on the water
so clear and so blue
as deep as the sky
as deep as your eyes
just a guy, just a guy...

walking through the streets
trying not to remember
a summer so bright
has turned into such a cold november
and the one picture I have left
I bury in the garden we kept

and with dirt on my hands
the blood of our love
I walk home and see
the forget me nots
on every corner
growing amongst the weeds
a thing so beautiful
overtaken by greed

pick up a pretty rock
you don't see the dirt on the other side
put it in your pocket
you should have left it there to hide

pull a pretty girl
on a saturday night
take her home
see her in the light

uproot a pretty flower
see the mud on the bottom
pull off the petals
whatch it go rotten

try to trap all the beauty that you see
without realizing what lies underneath
the misery
cast it aside when it hits the light
and the fairytale is broken
when the truth is in full sight

try to paint a pretty picture
with greens and blues and reds
but you make the colors swirl around
til the picture is brown and dead

watch the fluffy clouds
and the gold and silver linings
til the sun comes out from behind
too bright, it is shining

try to trap all the beauty that you see
without realizing what lies underneath
the misery
cast it aside when it hits the light
and the fairytale is broken
when the truth is in full sight

there is another side to everything
in this multi faceted world
behind every innocent glowing child's face
there lies a devious little boy or girl

and beauty fades like the sun in fall
and slips away to reveal the hole
where joy should be
there lies only misery

coz beauty melts like the snow in winter
til there's only a sludgy mud
and beauty fades
like all that is good

the uglyness underneath
is covered by beauty's hood

Okay, so I just saw the movie. And I'm still totally in awe...
It needs editing and fiddling around with and stuff, coz I just wrote it.
But anyway...


We hurt ourselves on the outside
To try to kill the thing on the inside
But it doesn’t work that way, you see
I’ve tried it, I still do, every day
But it’s doesn’t kill the voice inside of me
Thinking about death, can be a dream
Until you see what it can do
And it hits you harder than a scream
The blood can look so beautiful
But when there’s so much, it hurts your eyes
And I am just a girl, interrupted
In her life
My veins are ruptured
And my heart is torn to shreds
But I finally found some pills
That’ll help fix my head
Underneath the shell everyone has a heart
For some it’s always warm, beating
But some have to try to keep it alive

Creative Endeavors / Sandcastles

The little children run and laugh
And build sandcastles on the beach
Their innocence, not yet tainted
The whole world within their reach

But like the sandcastles
That will eventually surrender to the sea
They will be washed away by the tide
Fated to fight the undertow eternally

Until one day
They are washed up on another shore
The coastline of a far away land
Where they will laugh and run
And take false innocence by the hand
For they will not remember how
They had to fight
To be washed up on this distant shore
By the tide

The adults sit and watch
As the water rushes up the beach
And steals the sandcastles and the children
Far out of reach

And so the cycle goes
Of fighting and learning again
And forgetting how
And when

Until one day
They are washed up on another shore

Where they will laugh and run
And take false innocence by the hand
For they will not remember how
They had to fight
To by washed up on this distant shore
By the tide

And the children’s children

Bittersweet tears run down her cheeks
She’s been stuck in this place too long
She can’t tell days from weeks
Everything here is wrong

Bloody lines cross her flesh
She’s been cut so deep
Her thoughts all blur and mesh
And she can’t sleep

Angry words pass through her lips
Her heart beats faster and faster
And the monitor blips
But the people walk past her

Shallows breaths are formed deep inside
Gasping and choking
With nowhere to hide
Her heart is soaking

Blood, sweat and tears
So shallow yet so deeply
Ingrained are her fears
She whispers meekly

The final moments come rushing forward
Her body bent and torn
Her mind races backward
And she wonders if they will mourn
