Creative Endeavors / Constalations and Sad Reservations
« on: August 15, 2005, 04:14:43 pm »
I think to myself
That I think too hard
As you sit here with me
And as you push me off
I know it's my fault
But you made me do it
And I just cant stop
Wishing I didnt blow it

Youre like a faint star in the sky
No one could touch you
But theyre trying all the time
And sadly for me
I'm one of "they"
I'm supposed to belong to you
But that's just a stupid game

I fake smiles and lie
To people I know
When then ask casually
How it's been going
Cause the real truth isnt meant to be known
Sympathy's my poison
But youre the antidote

Wake me up when it's December again
And the cold would be welcome
I wouldnt care
Better cold outside
Than cold in my mind
Summer doesnt matter
When you search and can't find

You're so beautiful when you sleep
Dark lashes fall over dark cheeks
I can't help but stare and think
That I wouldnt mind being those sheets
But the closest I'll be
Is a line in a sad song

Go ahead love
Break me again
Do whatever you want
Just please hold my hand
I know it's my fault
But you made me do it
God knows I hate thinking this way
But you're all that I have

You make me bleed
And then warch me scream
But I'll come right back
To take another for the team
Please tell me you love me
And I'll say I'm sorry
For the millionth time
Then back at it again

Tonight I'll stay awake
And count all the stars in the sky
Then wish they could all be for you

« on: June 03, 2005, 06:59:51 am »
Does anyone know if AIM stores all your conversations automatically on your computer or whatever? Someone keeps telling me they can find like, every AIM convo they've ever had and read all of them even though they weren't saved.  :?

Creative Endeavors / rate my Harmonium review!
« on: November 12, 2004, 05:54:20 pm »
SO, for English I was supposed to write a detailed but short review about a new CD, book, or movie...(I also used it for the Harmaniacs mission of the week lol) and I picked Harmonium. Tell me what you guys think....(I think it's supposed to sound professional so I wrote it like a critic would)

Vanessa Carlton has done it again, with the followup to her 2002 platnum debut album, Be Not Nobody. Harmonium is jam packed with spine tingling melodies and lyrics to match. From the airy, romantic sounds of "San Francisco," to the dark and scary "She Floats," There is something on Harmonium to match every mood. The lyrics (especially on the top-30 single, White Houses) are like reading someone's diary. Vanessa Carlton has truly shown her growth as an artist with her sophomore album. Harmonium is a sheer work of art. I highly recomend it. Five stars, hands down.

DOES ANYONE HAVE FUSE??? it's a chaannel on digital cable/sattelite here but if any of you guys have ths channel you need to change it there NOW cause she's playing white houses.... i think it should air in an hour for those of you guys on the west coast. The host just said she would be doing two performances on this show, so if anyone has this channel change it there! i would tape it but my VCR is broken.

p.s... YAY MORE PROMOTION!!

edit: they're playing San Fran in the background now and she's being interviewed about the album and about where Pharell shows up on it, blah blah.....

edit again: the other song she played was a thousand miles.

Creative Endeavors / secret wishes
« on: October 20, 2004, 04:02:42 pm »
There she goes again
Racing through his mind
She's the dream he secretly wishes he could find
She looks to him so sadly
Her heart tries not to sing
Deep inside she knows
He wants her to be his queen
There's secrets in the meadow
Hidden in the morning dew
Sweet perfumes keep sweetening
The sky in which they flew
The sun goes down so softly
She heard his boyish voice
Calling her back from the past
Brought on by her bad choice
He wants so bad to take it back
The pain he made her feel
When the flowers in the meadow died
And her nightmare became real
And now he tries to call to her
His lady, to come home
But she remembers all his lies
And leaves him all alone

Creative Endeavors / my sky
« on: May 03, 2004, 05:23:50 pm »
just a short one...

In his eyes i've seen my sky
In my dreams, i've held him a thousand times
I wish he knew what he means to me
But i get the feeling he'll never ever see
How much he makes my heart bleed
It's like he doesn't know I'm there
He wouldn't even hear me if i was screaming
sometimes i wonder why i waste my time
but i'm afraid if i run away he won't follow me
I need to get over this
Before it decays what's left of me

Completely Off-Topic / Woman kills sons to prove faith
« on: April 01, 2004, 04:25:11 pm »
TYLER, Texas (April 1) - Six days after bashing her sons' heads with rocks, Deanna Laney calmly recounted the killings and told a psychiatrist she was awaiting her children's resurrection, according to a videotape shown to the jury Thursday.
Laney's behavior was in chilling contrast to the sobbing, emotionally broken and seemingly tortured demeanor she displayed in a video made seven months after the attacks, and shown to jurors Wednesday.

In an interview videotaped days after Laney killed her two older sons and severely injured her toddler, she was wide-eyed, occasionally smiling and animated as she described events leading up to the bloodshed last Mother's Day weekend.

The tape was played as defense attorneys began their case in the trial, which began Monday.

''I feel like that I obeyed God and I believe there will be good out of this,'' she told psychiatrist Dr. Phillip Resnick. ''I feel like he will reveal his power and they will be raised up. They will become alive again.''

Laney, 39, has pleaded innocent by reason of insanity to charges of murdering 8-year-old Joshua and 6-year-old Luke and severely beating Aaron, then 14 months old.

Resnick testified Laney was suffering from psychotic delusions and was incapable of knowing right from wrong at the time of the killings, the legal standard in Texas for insanity.

''She's separated psychologically from all the horror of it and she's simply a woman on a divine mission carrying out the Lord's will,'' he said. He said the delusions began weeks before the killings.

After she was jailed - and before she took anti-psychotic medication - she drank water from the floor and out of a toilet bowl because she felt she had not carried out God's orders perfectly, Resnick said. She was not sure she should have beaten Aaron, he said.

In court, Laney's husband, Keith Laney, held his head in his hands and appeared to weep after watching his wife's calm description of the violence.

Prosecutors have portrayed the slayings as selfish acts, and maintained Laney had to have known she was doing wrong. Her first call was to 911 to summon authorities.
