Truth-
I sit alone and listen to my heart
You sing along inside
And you twist my words to knots
My mind is hollow
But you revive me, and refuse to leave

The sun is setting on the horizon
Waiting to wake the world
You'd swim the oceans to catch it
To keep it from breaking the night
But it's already bleeding across the sky

You hear my words whisper with the wind
And you know that you hear truth
The truth in the tender words that you can't grasp
The meaning is a mystery to you and with whom you share
But my eyes will whisper truth
If you can ever find me.

Okay, I write... a lot. So, I'm going to be posting here frequently. Could I just ask for no one else to post their poems on this topic (but you can post your opinions or whatever). I want to kind of make it a log for me. Thanks!

I wrote these two poems last night:

The Stars Above Your Head
Do not blame your sadness on yourself
Those tears were caused by someone else
But the stars above your head
Haven't granted you any wishes
You've been lead astray
And your eyes have seen nothing
Though I hope that I'll bring you back to life.

Many Weary Days
I haven't cried in many weary days
Cleansing my soul with love
It makes my heart stronger
It makes us all stronger
My mind is transforming
And discovering itself
As the rain dries
As the pain dies.

I'm logged in at Vanessa's other board, but I feel really awkward here, since it's my first time; my first post. Well, I'd be really happy if someone welcomed me :wink: Hope to get to know all of you!
