I wonder why no h&t songs... It'd be so cool if she played Home, More Than This or Hands on Me. Oh well.

Looking forward the videos or audio.  :)

This is the BEST video she has ever made! It's the most consistent, in my opinion.
It's funny how some of you are saying that expected more, for me it was the reverse. I think there are so many meanings we can find on it and discuss. (and then maybe unreveal the mistery of Vanessa's sickness)
sobriquet, I really enjoyed your intrpreatation. specially about the alter-egos - it fits very well
I loved that the whole video is composed by transitions and fading effects, I think that's very relevant for the idea of the sickness - it could be some kind of emotional instability..
I know that I'll be watching this video a lot!

oh, and I wouldn't like the video so much at first if I hadn't watched Grey Gardens.

also, this (by Vanessa) can be helpful in understanding the video:

"Hear the Bells is about clarity, enlightenment. It is song map about the journey of someone who is seeking out a remedy. But remedies lie within us. That is powerful and true but not always obvious. I hope the song is a reminder. In society the sound of a bells marks an important time, whether from a church tower or a chime in a garden.
This visual clip is the most revealing video I've ever done thus far. Re-teaming with Jake Davis and his team was fluid and an inspired experience. It was filmed at my house in New York. The place where I wrote the song. Doing a video for this song was Jake's idea and I'm really happy he pushed me to do it. It is a reveal of my history woven in with the story of a reclusive woman based on little edie of grey garden. An eccentric and wonderful lady who rarely left her house. I believe we are our own fortune tellers."

General Vanessa Carlton Discussion / Re: Vanessa Carlton Dream

I had the craziest dream! Vanessa had announced she was going to England again in the fall to record a new album and then she released a snippet of a new song - I think it was called 'patient' or something like that...

does anyone have her label show video..where shes playing wanted for her label
here! http://www.mediafire.com/?25tz55z0mcsla1b

it's a weird format because it only has 79 bytes and I think it only works with Real Player, but it works :)

Thank you guys for talking so much about this album, otherwise I wouldn't have given it a try (since I'm not really into her other stuff - though I might reconsider that).
Human Again is a great album, very well produced. I haven't listened to it many times yet, but two of my favourites are Fire and End of the World :)

Vanessa Songs / Lyrics / Sheet Music / Re: Misheard Lyrics?

In Private Radio, is it "Find me out of my pillow" or "I'm finally out of my pillow"?

I'm finally out of my pillow  ;)

I took it to mean this:
the worse you feel= the more you drink
when you feel happy inside= you drink/party less
alcoholic= constantly drinking= sad inside
Oh... thanks!! That makes sense!

I thought I was already graduating in 'VC Twitter Language', but this one really got me haha

Can someone please translate the math equation tweet?

I thought I would find more pages here.

Jon is so great! He just released an album this year totally independently - which made me remember of V (though she signed with R&T later).... and ta-da now he's signed with Razor and Tie too.

He's first single with the new label is featured with no one less than Sara Bareilles! You can get it here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/summer-is-over-feat.-sara/id489615921

I believe you guys will like him A LOT! He's an awesome piano player, has a nice voyce and lyrics. And he's not bad on the eyes ;)

  And on THAT note
.......where is the rest of it, Vanessa?

I really like that they named it "Hear the Bells", it makes sense haha.
I just didn't like to see ATM in the list, I think we already have enough versions of this one and I'd prefer another cover (or a new song, of course).

Do we know what format it's going to be released?

Live Shows / Re: 2011 Fall tour with Matt Nathanson

I didn't like the idea of Vanessa as an opener at firt, but I saw some really nice comments about her on youtube by people who went just for Matt Nathanson.

about I Don't Want to Be a Bride:

"i just saw her opening for matt nathanson on friday and i LOVE this song most of all the ones she performed. i love her style of performing, it's similar to how I see myself performing one day. She's just real and seems like a person who would be a good friend. She doesn't seem intimidating or arrogant at all"
smefft
"I saw her last night open for Matt Nathanson in DC. She closed with this song. It was just her and some guy playing the violin. I had never seen her before but she blew me away with this song. Even better than this performance since it was all acoustic. Everyone was just mesmerized!"
FalconFan1314

She's reaching new people with her music, and that is GREAT!

Random comment:
Did you guys notice that only recently she started using "mentions"? (@VEVO and @jessedeflorio)
I think that's a step forward haha. Maybe (one day) she'll start answering fans  ;)
