I just logged into Amazon and found out that I have a free $2 credit for MP3's. How crazy is that!!? I know what I'm getting in 6 minutes... I can't wait to hear the full studio version.

I wanna hear the "Thought I heard your voice in the thunder" bridge part so bad!! CAN'T... WAIT... MUCH... LONGER!!!

Omg, this is probably one of my most favorites yet... probably tied at the top with FWF. Vanessa just never disappoints. It seems like it's taking forever for this record to come out. I wish we had some sort of official update. I really hope the record is out by the spring. I'm dying with anticipation!!!

aw, don't feel dumb.  You are posting your thoughts and feelings unbiased by others and that is commendable!  Plus, being a newbie myself, I want to get as many posts out there and to voice my opinion whether or not others agree or if it's been said already.

Thanks!! I've been around for while just lurking in the shadows. Word about new music just gets me super excited.

I strongly doubt that Vanessa's back with A&M. Universal Music Group is composed of the largest collection of subsidiary record labels. This includes A&M Records (responsible for "Be Not Nobody" and "Harmonium"), as well as well as Universal Motown Republic/The Inc. (responsible for "Heroes & Thieves"). Basically, all three records were released by the same "parent company," so I imagine releasing a compilation album would be no problem. Also, I wouldn't count on seeing any unreleased/new material. "Icon" seems to be a new line or greatest hits records released for many artists by UMG. It's most likely just another way for the record labels to make money off of fans. It's likely that Vanessa had no say/control or even prior knowledge of its release.

Also, I went into FYE at the mall today and there were a ton of new "Icon" albums by tons of artists. No new material, just compilations of songs we already have.

I'd keep my eye on what's going on with "Rabbits on the Run." This is definitely exciting and I'm curious to see who releases this album... doesn't seem like there's been any official talk about an official record deal or who's releasing the new album.

Edit: I just noticed Martin's post. Now I feel dumb. =P

H&T does have some of Vanessa's best work though ("Fools Like Me," "Home," "More Than This")

...actually, the entire album is memorable. It's actually becoming one of my top favorites!! Haha... I think it's one of those albums I wanna be stuck on an island with. :razz:

Haha, I do this too. I have artists that I prefer release their CD's in the Spring, the Fall, etc. Vanessa is all Autumn to me. I actually get upset when they release them "out of season."  :lol:

I get a Fall vibe from this though. Not as hardcore as Harmonium though.

Lol... "Harmonium" is totally winter for me. :razz:

Promo Only is releasing '"Nolita Fairytale" on their Express Video DVD for the 4th week of September (which is this week). So, it should be out soon. If I get a hold of it, I'll try uploading.

Edit: I think I may have read it wrong... do you already have the NF video??
