I highly doubt it'll get an Australian release. Harmonium & Heroes and Thieves were both skipped from release here.

Actually, H&T was released in Australia - I've seen it a few times in JB-Hifi - I bought mine from there Constantly on the lookout for Harmonium, but I think that one did get skipped here

Really?! I'm going to go hunting just to stare at it. I had to import my copy of H&T, but it's signed, so no real complaints.

Where did you buy a signed copy?!!!

Whoa, you're like a twitter celebrity! I barely have 28 sad followers and I don't tweet a lot because my phone is a dinosaur and doesn't have those applications; so I can only do it when I'm home, and when I'm home I don't have anything interesting to tweet about.

It'd be great if we can get this to trend on the release date; hopefully, the forum will become more active with old members returning and new ones signing up as June 21st gets closer, and we'll have enough people to get it to trend. Maybe if we set a specific time it'd be easier.

Haha, awesomeness!! Australians FTW! I'm not too worried about the shipping though - it's more that I'd just LOVE to actually physically see a row of V's albums on the shelves in music stores and things, rather than get buy it online

So will the record come out on vinyl and CD, do we think?

I agree - whenever I'm in a CD store I always check if they have any of the albums, just cos I love seeing copies sitting there! I see BNN quite a lot, but have never seen Harmonium or H&T.

I really hope the album comes out on both CD and vinyl. I collect vinyls from my favourite artists, and it'd be really nice to add a second one to my VC vinyls (the White Houses one is getting very loney...). I know Vanessa said on Twitter something about printing to vinyl and loving "those little black circles" or something. So I really really hope it happens!

At least they're "trying to make the release as successful as possible". Hopefully that means they will choose a proper first single, not a headscrather like Nolita was, and release it to a decent amount of top 40 radios. Dammit, I wish I had been here to see the tracklist while it was up.

I actually think her music is pretty commercial, and could sell well if the right singles are released and properly promoted. For example, I think "Who's to Say", "San Francisco", "Home" and "The One" sound like top 40 hits to me. Of course, these days the top ten is dominated by all the Lady Gagas and Keshas out there, but if you check the top 40 there's always a few better, more organic songs on it. Vanessa could fit there.

Now, to answer the question, I wouldn't mind an image change (not that there's anything wrong with her current image), but a change in her sound would be a disappointment.
