I am listening to For What It's Worth, and I am convinced to get the whole album. Stevie writes beautiful lyrics, and I am glad that V had inherited it.

Check out Moonlight and You May Be The One. They're my other favorites from the album. :)

Thanks!

Love this picture too:

That photo was taken from my Tumblr. Credit goes to Amy Veit Green.

V was great last night, though I was disappointed in the setlist. I didn't care for the majority of the songs she played from ROTR and I don't know that they were the best choice for last night's crowd. I feel like V's Heroes and Thieves set went over better back in '07 and those songs just sounded better live. Most ROTR songs don't transfer live well, imo.

I still loved getting to see Vanessa again, though. I loved Carousel and IDWBAB. Of course the crowd cheered the most for A Thousand Miles. V called it her "weird obsession" song and had to compose herself after giggling before she could play.

As was mentioned already, Stevie dedicated For What It's Worth to Vanessa, saying that she had done more for her heart than anybody else ever has and she is so thankful for her. It was very sweet.

At the very end of the show, Vanessa came out for the final bows and it was so cute when Stevie pushed V out front and had the audience cheer for her again. And then Stevie grabbed V's hand and made it wave to the audience haha. V was all smiles but she had that shy look on her face. I love the equal admiration that Stevie and Vanessa share for one another. It's pretty awesome when your two favorite singers are bffs and love the hell out of each other.

Does anyone think Vanessa will open for Stevie again? Like on an actual tour and not just a few dates? I've talked to some Stevie/Fleetwood fans and they all seem to love her and Vanessa's relationship and think it's cute. I hope she has her open because she obviously must know how hard Rabbits struggled. I'm just worried about V paying her bills! I know she gets royalties and has more money than I will probably ever see, but I get worried still!

I'm sure Vanessa has made enough off of A Thousand Miles that she'd be okay if she never made another dime in her life.

Vanessa is very popular in the Stevie community. I hope she gets a great response tonight at the Detroit show. I'll be there!

^^^ Unfortunately I don't think they're going to add more shows. Stevie starts her tour with Rod Stewart on July 20 and that's going into August. There is a random Oklahoma date in September that Vanessa might open for. But after that, I don't see any more dates being added opening for Stevie because Fleetwood Mac goes into rehearsals in January for their 2013 tour, and Stevie will probably just take a break after September and prep for the Mac.

What does the last line mean?

I have no idea what that last line means, but if she's staring at Camelback Mountain, then she's in Scottsdale with the Nicks family for the holidays again, I'm assuming.

Live Shows / 10-12-11 Detroit Review
« on: October 15, 2011, 09:05:54 am »
As good as Columbus' crowd was, that's how BAD Detroit's was. They didn't even sing along to A THOUSAND MILES. Everybody and their mom knows that song! I was so disappointed for her. Of course she was still great though. The venue was pretty cool--it was an old church with stained glass windows still. At one point V said "godddamn" about something and she turned to Skye and was like, "Oh my god I just said 'damn' in a church. I said 'goddamn' in a church." The crowd started cracking up and V was like, "Oh well, I'm jewish anyway." It was hysterical.

Set:

1. Carousel
2. White Houses
3. Fairweather Friend
4. London
5. Hear the Bells
6. A Thousand Miles
7. I Don't Wanna Be a Bride

VC came on kind of late so the meet and greet in Detroit was even more rushed than Columbus. This young boy standing behind me was SO excited to meet V. He was the most enthusiastic little thing. We were standing by the stairs where V and Skye were coming up to the merchandise booth, but the boy didn't see them come up. He only noticed V when she was walking right beside us, and the little guy screamed in excitement. V's expression-- oh my god I died laughing.

V did remember me from the night before but she couldn't remember what city they had been in haha. She said something like I was "so adorably cute." I wish I could remember exactly! She said they were going to change up the setlist but they were running so late that they didn't have time. I ended up having her sign my Heroes and Thieves cd booklet that time. We got a really cute picture of V that I will try to post when I upload my pictures on to my computer.

Live Shows / 10-11-11 Columbus Review

This show was absolutely amazing. The crowd was fantastic and V seemed to love our response to her songs. My favorite moment was when she paused at the end of ATM and the crowd came in with "If I could fall--" and V was like, "Wait for it, wait for it." So cute.

Set:
1. Carousel
2. Hands On Me
3. White Houses (nice crowd sing along)
4. London
5. Hear the Bells
6. Fairweather Friend
7. A Thousand Miles (big time sing along)
8. I Don't Wanna Be a Bride

I don't know how the other shows were number wise for the meet and greets, but in Columbus there were an INSANE number of people in line to meet Vanessa. HearMyBells and I were all the way around the corner, up the stairs and down the hallway, waiting in line. Needless to say our time with V was very limited and there were no personal pics allowed.

I still had a great experience though, and thank you to HearMyBells' friend for taking a couple of pics of Vanessa and I talking. It was my first time meeting VC and I told her, "This is totally blowing my mind right now." She laughed and told me I was "so cute." I said a few other things to her and told her I'd see her in Detroit. She told me I was so sweet and wrote "Lovely to meet you" in my ROTR record. Incredible, incredible time.

1:50 was the best moment of the night haha

She kept mentioning that the room looks like a black vortex should be stemming out of it... only her : )

I just posted that on my friend's wall on FB! My favorite part of the show too. :)

Vanessa was amazing last night in Columbus. She got a nice sing along with White Houses and A Thousand Miles (as you see in the video).

It was great meeting you, Christian! Sorry you had to witness my total freak out after meeting VC.  ;)

Since Vanessa is the opening act for Matt Nathanson, does she leave the venue right after her set, or does she wait until his is over? I would like to try to meet her, but I'm not sure when I should be standing outside.

As long as she comes to Ohio or Michigan, I'll be happy.  :)

Stevie Nicks is going on a short tour for her new album this August/September and so I was wondering if any of you knew if Vanessa will be her opener again since she will also be promoting a new album?

Vanessa isn't playing any solo dates near me so I'm really, really hoping she opens for Stevie this fall so I get the chance to see her! I'm loving "Carousel."

Live Shows / Re: Stevie Nicks and Rod Stewart Question

I don't think she will be. The shows are supposed to be 3 hours long so I just don't see there being time for Vanessa to open. But then again, when Stevie toured with Don Henley in '05, they had an opener. So I guess there is always the possibility.

Stevie has a new album coming out May 3 and she plans on touring for that as well. I imagine that's when Vanessa will tour with her again, if she's going to. (Fingers crossed).

I found out who makes Stevie's jewelry. Henri David.

I'm so happy V has someone like Stevie to be there for her...listening to what she had to say made me so happy :)

(Btw if you're interested in the crescent moon necklace check out this website: http://www.camiasdesigns.com/pages/stevienicks/ij-stevienicks2.html   It has awesome Stevie-inspired jewelry!)

I just did a search on The Ledge (Fleetwood Mac forum) and twitter, and everyone said that is the best place to get the half-moon necklace.

Good luck! :)

By the way, here's a link to a thread that has pictures of Stevie wearing different variations of the necklace through out the years: http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showthread.php?t=44611&highlight=moon+necklace
