General Vanessa Carlton Discussion / Stevie's fans are supporters....not really.

I'm the biggest Stevie fan alive, and I still love Vanessa, too!

It's just two different styles. The older Stevie fans don't seem to like how Vanessa sounds so youthful, and writes 'naive' lyrics, and prefer Stevie's rough rock and roll sound. I personally think it's the best of both worlds. Stevie's my faaavorite person in the world, but I like how I can listen to Vanessa and get music that's easy to listen to, and just lay back and relax with.

I like to consider myself a kind of modern day hippie. I like long, flowing things, but I don't have enough shirts like that. I wear a lot of bellbottoms and skirts. And I love high heels.

I requested it on The Crave 95.3 in Vancouver, but I don't know if they've been playing it (or if they even have it at all) cuz I don't listen, haha.  But at least I tried, right?  

Anyone in Van City heard it on the radio yet?

Aww, I was going to request it the other night on the Beat 94.5 (mah station!) but I requested Touch My Body by Mariah Carey instead.

Ew.  That new Mariah song is... yeah.  You chose Mariah over Vanessa?  Aw, man.

Mariah's overrated...like, big time.

Try putting yourself in the character's position and make their situation your own. Maybe you'll feel what they're feeling and the lines will stick more easily.
