This is funny ...

This "mod" tried to ban me from the VCMB, but it didn't work. I am still alive and free, regardless of what anybody thinks.

Oh yeah and my Economics teacher even brought the whole Janet/Justin thing up in class today. He even thinks it was just for exposure since she has a new single out and all.. I don't think that tho. See I tend to think the opposite of what everyone else in the world thinks.. that is just me. I mean.. really think about it. She knew that if she planned on doing that that of course it would gain her exposure but it would also gain her a lot of disrespect.. I dunno about ya'll but I would not wan't to risk getting disrespected because I exposed my breast on national t.v. I would think of a better way for exposure like the whole Britney and Madonna thing- I don't think she was thinking of exposing her boob on national t.v. come on now.. why would she wan't to take a risk like that and get disrespected and slapped in the face? it won't help her single- it will ruin it cuz people will still be pissed at her..

Just all my opinion tho..

Janet Jackson is a stuggling artist at the moment. She hasn't had a hit in several years, and her brother is a freakish disgrace. In the entertainment business, no it's not a matter of good publicity or bad publicity. The only time entertainers worry is when people are not talking about them. Janet doesn't care if people are ridiculing her, as long as people are thinking about her when they enter the record store. That's why she would do it.

actually, the women in ER had wooping cough. but they had her on the operating table with her shirt off. all they did was blur the revealing part. but you know, America is sensitive to that stuff being shown on tv right now, so i think they did the right thing by editing it.

and yeah, she did have a red layer underneath the black layer.

yeah, the hula girls were actually for the pre game show, now they're halftime! lol. that's cool i guess. haha

i really liked the Simpson mastercard comercial. and that NFL comercial with all the player singing Tomorrow because they didnt make it to the pro bowl. funny stuff. but the comercials mainly sucked this year

Amanda

Yeah, I watched ER last night as well. It was whooping cough, not breast cancer, as my radio station's news had originally reported.

She may have had a red border, but there was no red bra (not even a "layer"), as Janet herself had claimed there was.

Does anyone really care about the Pro Bowl? Granted, the hula thing probably will be entertaining. I heard that the NFL offered to have JC sing the National Anthem, but he turned them down. Now he's apparently trying to get the Grammy producers to let him perform there.

I liked the AOL commercials with the guys from American Chopper. Quite funny

at the pro bowl one of the guys from Nsync (don't know who sorry) was supposed to do that halftime show, but because of the whole JT Janet thing, they aren't allowing the Nsync guy to perform. i guess because they don't want to take any chances? or they just don't want that kind of music on there anymore....  i don't know. but i thought that was weird

Yeah I heard about that last night but I was half way asleep and didn't hear the story but I did hear that is was JC who couldn't perform. That is just stupid.. what is he going to do? Uncover one of his dancers breast's? Come on now.. he is not that stupid. He's the only Nsync member I actually respect.. damn this thing is getting out of hand..

Did you guys hear about the ER thing? After 10:30 p.m.  on nbc on the show ER there was going to be an exposing of a ladies breast that goes in for an emergancy.. (i'm watching the  Katy Couric sp? interview now) and now they are asking them not to show it cuz they don't wan't to take any chances because of this weeks "events"

The NFL is saying that they want to get back to "traditional," halftime shows. It's not necessarily that JC will do anything inappropriate (but they're not saying he wouldn't). They're replacing his performance with -- get this -- a tribute to hula girls!

I heard about the ER thing and think it's really sad. The storyline invloved an 80-year-old woman battling breast cancer.

Also, a woman has filed a lawsuit agains Janet Jackson for pain and suffering caused by the incident. While I don't recall the specifics, I can only guess that the woman broke her thumb while rewinding and playing it over and over and over and over ... well, you get the idea.

Now, not that you all were waiting for it, but here's my take on what happened and why. Janet Jackson is a liar. She said when Justin tore the sleeve off, viewers were supposed to see a red bra. Funny though, I don't recall seeing any red items hanging down. Plus, who decorates their breast with jewelry or pasties if they're not planning on showing it? Not to mention that she does have a new cd and single coming out. Obviously, it was nothing more than an attempt (kind of a small one at that) to get some exposure for her new release(yes, yes, I know that was bad!).

While I predicted Pats by two TDs earlier, I ended up changing my mind a little and making a bet on Thursday to take Carolina +7.  I still thought the Pats would win, but by less than seven.

And only one of the players--Tom Brady--you mentioned were superstars.  A kicker.  You mentioned a kicker as a possible superstar?  I mean, he's great, don't get me wrong... but a kicker as a superstar?!  Please.  And Ty Law is great.  But we all know "superstars" don't play on defense--it's a shame, but true.

No biggie on the prediction, even Vegas blew the point spread.

Yes ... a kicker can be a superstar, especially one with two winning Super Bowl field goals in the final seconds of each (and, possibly more to come). Here's a good rule of thumb by which most players are considered true superstars: Will they end up in the Hall of Fame? Will Adam Vinatieri end up there? I'd be very surprised if he didn't.

Dick Butkas, Lawrence Taylor, Ronnie Lott, Mean Joe Greene (not really all that mean, from what I hear), and Jack Lambert are all defenseive players who could be labled as superstars. Although the definition of superstar can be a debateable one, Ty Law would have to be considered one as far as active players are concerned.

No one gives Carolina any dap, but I think they can win, they've already slayed three hype machines (Tampa, St. Louis, Philly) this season, why not a fourth? LOL.

Fair point.  But here's why Carolina WON'T win Super Bowl XXXVIII:

The Patriots aren't a "hype machine".  Name TWO superstars on that team and you'll be our lucky winner.  They play as a team, much as the Panthers do.

The Patriots know what it's like to come into a Super Bowl as an underdog, and they saw first hand what happens when a team gets too cocky as the Rams did two years ago.  They're not going to make the Rams' mistake.

NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE has been able to run on the Patriots this season.  Is Del Homme good enough to win if the Panthers can run the football and he only has to throw 14 times?  Yes.  Is Del Homme good enough to win when he has to throw 25 times?  No.  He's used to being able to just take the incomplete passes, and tee it up another time.  On 3rd and 8--because the Pats have such a good run defense--he's not going to have that option.

Patriots by two touchdowns.

Hate to say I told you so...

BUT I TOLD YOU SO.

Well ... Tom Brady, Antwoin Smith, Kevin Faulk, Troy Brown, Adam Vinatieri, Ty law ... oops ... I guess I named more than two superstars (and yes, I did know who they were before the game started). Does that mean I don't win?

I wouldn't call 92 yards on 16 carries as not being able to run the ball either, not to mention the touchdown.

Jake Delhomme threw for 323 yards and three touchdowns. After completing only one of his first nine passes, he settled in and went 15-24.

By all rights, 29 points should be enough to win a agame -- any game. The Panthers just fell a bit short at the end. The game really could have gone either way.

All boasting aside ... the 14-point prediction was nothing more than a farce. You told no one anything. lol

It would be nice to see Carolina win the big one. I think they have the defense to do it. You know what they say, defense wins championships

I'm not sure about this, since this originally aired a couple of weeks ago, but my local TV listing indicate that Michelle Branch will be performing tonight on Last Call with Carson Daly.

That's Oct. 20, 1:35 pm eastern/pacific times. She performs her new single toward the end of the show.
