AMAZING!

IDWBAB shows such great growth in V as a songwriter. Beautiful finale too. :)

Dear California wasnt really my thing for the first few listens. But man has it grown on me. I'm singing it everywhere!

FF I'm not sure about. Am I the only one who really prefers her original live version from Hotel Cafe? I must have played that version 100s of times and I think it was perfect. I also much prefer how she sung the phase "Fairweather Friends" at the end in the original. I suppose she thought it was a work in progress. I'm sure the new one will grow on me though.

Overall I'm SO STOKED!!!! :)

The only thing I like in the new version of FF is the accompaniment, which makes it more catchy for me. I like the lyrics and the "feeling" in the first one though. They're more...upbeat than morose.

I have a feeling this will be a Spring Street on this album aka she isn't gonna be performing this live unless it actually is released as a single.

But what I LOVE is how she incorporates this weird witchcrafty lines about belladonna and alchemy (No wonder she keeps using it in tweets)?
AMAZING.

I've always considered it to be a magic drug ;-)

I also just found out it is the name of a Stevie album :P "Bella Donna" ;)

To take things quite literally, a belladonna can be a homeopathic substance. Thinking of California though, I'm pretty sure it's some drug (pot maybe?). :P

Her ode to Doves, huh? The song gives me the same vibe as "The Cedar Room," "Firesuite," and "The Man who Told Everything." Dark, creepy song...I like it though. :)

Yes yes yes! Thank you so much for the chords. :) You've saved me some time. Now, just to learn it tomorrow. :D

I'm really anticipating the album more than ever now. And this is what I get for listening to the songs early. ._. Still well worth it.

FWF: This song has definitely grown on me. It's catchy, and I'm hoping it's the next single some time.
IDWAB: Haunting at first, lulling as it goes on. It definitely still give me that sense of yearning. I absolutely LOVE the bridge/ending! ♥
Dear California: It's so upbeat. :D It reminds me of Queen's "Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon." At least, I get the same vibe from it. (There's your potentially commercial song Perez.)

I got your message, glad you're doing well

 :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Vanessa, are you reading my diary again?

I'm glad you pointed out that line. ._. The day I wanted to ask this one girl out, what do you know...She was already in a relationship for about a week, and I didn't know about it. Just when I mustered up the courage, everything shattered. But it's okay, I guess.

Yesss. This saves me some effort. I'm looking forward to see how they transcribe IDWBAB. I've been trying to figure what I should I do...

Has anyone put up a tutorial for Carousel on youtube? Sadly, it's the only way I learn songs on the piano haha.

I've received quests for a tutorial, but I'm a little wary of making one now. I sound so nasally with these accursed allergies.

Hm...when I was younger, no. But after re-following her, it all seems to fit in.

BNN
Huzzah for brief liberations and teenage love.

Harmonium
White houses...Simple enough. Except I'm the one giving not receiving.
Half a Week Before the Winter & Papa seemed to fit pretty well when I didn't like the school I chose [initially].

H&T
Definitely that new found glory -- Nolita Fairytale.
That girl I fell for and well...that was it. -- Come Undone, Home

And for ROTR
London was an instant connection for reasons that'll go unsaid. Sob stories are stupid to share.
Carousel. I took it more as of a "seize the day" sort of thing--overcoming a sort of depression stage. I forget who interpreted it as V looking back at her life, but it's similar to that. It fits.

"But the fever breaks when it's too much to take, so you can put your weapons down." Hurray for facades.
"Who's to say we won't burn it out?"
"The sun comes out for you."
"I'm a sycophantic courtier [...] And the only one I come undone for is you~" (The second to last "the only one I come undone for is you")

And basically most of "I don't wanna be a Bride" and "Home." Yeah...

That story was in one of my workbooks in elementary school (the type where it's like "Learn at Home Grade #).  I think it was for 3rd grade--literature: fables.  Nice connection there.  That never occurred to me. O:

I think 'London' is a grower...

I have to go with Sarab on this one: I enjoyed and connected with London immediately.  Once the "good" quality version of it was featured on YouTube (the one from Hotel Cafe some time in March), I loved it immediately.  Uncanny timing or not...the lyrics just seem to be fitting what I was going to.  Fairweather Friends for me was a grower. :P

It makes me regret that I didn't stop by the Starbucks next to the Cold Stone Creamery today. :|

We were going to read this last year in Physics but never go to it.  I might read it over the summer, along with [finishing up/catching up on] Dean Koontz's version of Frankenstein and Kerouac's On the Road.  Thanks for finding it in PDF form.  Now I don't have to buy it...or borrow it from the library.

Those are definitely the best covers on YouTube. Im presuming they are your own interpretations and I was wondering if you could post up some sheet music as they are incredible to listen to.

Thank you. :) I haven't made any sheet music for them--not even hard copies since I'm unsure where the paper is, but I'll see if I can get on that some time (gotta re-download Finale, I guess).
