I prefer that quiet "hey" in Dear California, but I agree that the "HEY!" for Nolita Fairytale was good for that song's effect.

To each his own . . . or rather, to each VC song its own "Hey."

"Money Maker" sounds vaguely hiphop-ish, like "M.A.K.E.L.O.V.E.T.O.M.E." (which I didn't like that much) but I'm excited all the same!

I wonder if there's anything more to the Rabbit than "time slipping, mind floating". I looked up Chinese zodiac and got this: Inspires adoration or hatred, but never indifference, sensitive, intuitive, well-organized. Intelligent, honorable, refined and discreet. Touchy, conservative, egotistical, gossipy, superficial and sometimes cruel.

That last bit sounds . . . shall we say . . . unsettling.

I agree that it somehow doesn't sound like her. I dunno, but I think there's "something" missing. Maybe her writing style changed?

But at least we're getting updates. "Rabbits on the Run" is sounding more awesome by the minute!

Na-na-na-na-na-na-na . . . .

I was a bit apprehensive to the song at first, but I warmed up to it (just like I warmed up to "Come Undone" and it's . . . umm . . . hella epic intro). There's a whole "life comes full circle" thing going on in this song.

I remember opening VC's website and hearing the Spring Street intro. My speakers were turned up. Woke up the whole house

If I'm not mistaken, she's 29 years old, not 26, and I believe the album's title was "Heroes and Thieves", not "Heros".

Who's this guy's fact checker?

Hope she's alright, though.

I might be biased, but I love "My Best". The music and the lyrics just go together. It's a "marriage made in heaven" if that term can be applied to music. Plus, since I love words, I read the lyrics. Awesome lyrics they were, too.

I didn't like that. Not at all. Forgive me for wanting any cover of "A Thousand Miles" to be in approximately the same vein as the original, but I think that sucked.
