Creative Endeavors / Fairweather Friends Cover .. D:

Hey everyone. So I was sick yesterday, but it was all sunny and springtimey out, so I decided to record Fairweather Friends. No violin, 'cause I'm lazy, but I've got two vocal tracks and piano. I did all three in one take each, so any mistakes are, well, mistakes.

My voice is scratchy for the first two verses but it gets better (I think) at the first chorus.

All piano and vocals are done by me; no editing occurred after putting the backup vocals in with the voice/piano live recording.

Creative Endeavors / .. New Nessaholics Main Page? Yes? No?

Hey everyone!

So I was just on the Nessaholics main page, and I was wondering.. What do you guys think of it?
I'm asking because I think it'd be cool if we could make it match Nessa's updated site.

With the admin's consent, I could make a bunch of artwork, if they'd be willing to put it up and give me the sizes/resolutions I'd need for each one. I think it'd be fun, and if it turned out good, I'd like to use it for my art portfolio.

Anyhow, I just finished a very quick preview of what I think would look good on the main page. It's pretty simple, but I think it's neat, classy and works effectively. This is just a quick copy, I didn't include the Nessa top bar.

Creative Endeavors / With spring around the corner.. A Plea! D;

Hey guys. Spring's right around the corner for me, and I saw grass for the first time in about three months today, and it made me think of spring and go all sentimental and stuff.

And made me want to record some new stuff. And I was thinking about which songs I can do, and I remembered Fair-weather Friends, and I reeeeeeeeeally would like to record it. Because, you know, it's indescribably beautiful. C:

The problem is, I only have the piano sheet music for it, and that's from here. But if I'm going to formally record something, I'd like the violin part as well.

So I was wondering if somebody could maybe type up the violin sheet music from this performance in their spare time? I'll record all three parts myself and then show you guys when it's done.

It'd just be nice to do, I think. (:

On a side note, I'm performing Human by The Killers in a show next week. If anybody would be interested in grabbing the audio for that. C:

Sitting here, bored out of my mind, and so I wrote a song. Not very good, but I dunno. Maybe I'll send in a demo or something once I get a few decent songs.

I'm home alone all of today, and with no car I've been stuck doing homework and studying for midterms. So I decided to write a song for piano, so more of an instrumental actually. And it came out kind of nice. Ignore that one mess-up towards the beginning. Free file download, and I made sure there were no viruses. <3

So, while I'm not an aspiring singer or anything, I've been taking piano lessons for 9 years and violin for 4, and I've always been kind of artsy. So recently I've been writing songs and some music. They're nothing big, but I'd like some input / harsh critique on one of them. Thanks in advance. <3
