Hey, I didn't mean it like that!  I hope you're not offended. It's just one thing that I've noticed when I downloaded the .midi file for Best Behaviour: the first chord in the chorus sounds happier (probably because it is a major chord? I haven't checked the sheets yet) that it should be.

Use headphones to people won't look at you weirdly, lol. Trust me, I've been there and the headphones is the best solution.

And yes, I hear you: transcribing is also about adding your personal touches to the song.

Hi!

I read your difficulty in identifying the chord progressions of the songs. I've been a transcriber from scratch, and I just began three years ago or so. It really takes practice, trust me. The key is to familiarize yourself with the pitches. You really have to train your ears so that you can get the notes right. I noticed some discrepancies in your sheets and the songs themselves but I think you can easily correct them later on. Just immerse yourself into the piano and soon, you will have really sharp ears.

And oh, for the chord progression, in the sheet musics from the archive I created, you can simply get the chords by observing the pattern of the left hand. It's pretty much V's style: the main chord in the left hand, the melody/magic stuff in the right. They're quite simple, actually, but magical nevertheless.

Fyi: I had nothing to do w my "best of" album. It was put together by my old label. It's not the best of anything! Sort of hilarious tho

I think that she uses the board in her creative process and the photograpgher just went around taking Pics... she may not even have realized that it was taken at first

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe this is an unintentional leak. I mean, I am happy that we already know pretty much everything about the record, but I'd rather have it from V herself, knowing that it would be with her consent. And besides, I think the mystery of the tracklist before the album release adds more excitement to the wait.

Oh, well. What's done is done, so we should just live with it.

I got a feeling that the background music was played by V. By the sound quality, the background music sounds like something that is  recorded in a videocam then just ripped. I think it was ripped from the clip of her playing the piano in the video.

As for the blackboard, I really wonder if she did it on purpose. If she did, why? She was never this open when it comes to tracks before.

But I am happy nonetheless.

You should try writing your own songs sometimes, Kulp. You're really good with words.

I think the lyrics are pretty accurate. However, I doubt that she got all the lyrics right cause from experience, V often change some words later on as she finishes her songs.

As far as the theme goes, I don't think it is really about a relationship failing but rather a notion that despite being in a relationship, a person still remains an individual with the freedom and capacity to make decisions for himself. But still, this sort of freedom does not necessarily mean the end of a relationship. It is 'just the way it is,' as she sings in the chorus.

This song is really good. The message of the song reminds me of a Sharon Olds poem called 'Sex Without Love.' Read it.

And lastly, is it me or does the melody of the song is reminiscent of Florence and the Machine? But to whichever direction V is going , I can already feel that this is going to be good.
