Completely Off-Topic / Happy Birthday Rosie!
« on: July 17, 2005, 04:04:30 pm »
I told you this before, but... 18? It's hard to believe you're that old already. I mean, when we met you were 14 and I... I was a lot younger too   *dreads 21st coming up too soon* I can't believe how fast these years are passing and in a way I feel sorry I'm not there to experience them with you. I know I should have been there this time and it's one of the things I regret most in life, trust me. I hope it's still the most amazing birthday EVER, because you deserve it, and hey if someone from the family has to be there, at least there's my brother around, hehe.

To many more years of amazing friendship, to Germany or to whatever else is to come :) Love you,

N

PS: I forgot about the 'Happy Birthday' part but you got it, right? ;)

I saw him perform live on French TV (in Versailles! w00t!) and he wasn't bad, but I'd rather stick to the studio version :P I still really like Bad Day and lately I've been listening to Jimmy Gets High too - I haven't heard Song 6 yet

*shamelessly shows off new Matt Wertz siggy*

Repost from my lj. Can't believe this is happening

I'm so scared and so shocked. Today i was going to Cambridge for an open day. I got the train up to london and was on the northern line at euston about to change to kings cross. They evacuated the station and said there was a power surge. I got completely lost walking to kings cross and ended up walking past woburn place and tavistock square. Luckily, i called my mum and she redirected me back.

Then hundreds of emergency services started arriving and we were told it was an 'electrical fault' but people started coming out with black smoke over their faces and i started getting scared. I saw a man bleeding from the mouth, i saw a woman faint, i saw overflowing hospitals- it was so eerily quiet. I was completely alone and my battery was running out. My mum called and we decided i should walk to waterloo- it was about 9:45 and she directed me down woburn place except i got lost. Thank god i did because thats exactly where the bus bomb went off, and it would've been exactly where i was walking down. That could've been me. I have never been that close to something like that before. Something made me lose my way.

It became clear something really serious was happening because there were police cordons everywhere and undercover MI5/police officers trying to get to the scene. Luckily, i managed to walk the hour or so it was to Oxford Circus and meet up with Fran who works at Vogue. I've stayed there the whole day. I am at her house now but i feel so shaken and scared. At one point i thought i was going to faint. My mum is stuck in cambridge and trying to get to me but all the motorways are blocked. There is no way i can get across london and home again, so i can't get home until tommorrow. So scary.

Oh dear. All this time I thought you were safe in Cambridge! I'm SO glad you're ok, really, it's such a relief, I don't know even want to think of what I would have done... I've been so emotional all day and kept bursting into tears (it has, apart from this, been an awful day for a bunch of reasons), then I tried calling you and talked to Patty but I was so shaken I didn't really pay attention to what he said, so I've left a message on your phone. We'll talk soon though, just text me when you're home and I'll phone you ok? *hugs*  :(

This is just so painful... it reminds me of the Madrid bombings so much and that still makes me cry. England is also my second home and London my favourite city in the world, I couldn't be more crushed. My heart goes out to everyone in Britain, I know what you must feel like know  :(

Rosie was supposed to be in Cambridge today. I'll phone her later and tell you guys if she doesn't post first. I'd text but I have no credit! Anyway, if I have news I'll tell you.

YAY! :D

I just saw it on TV. I would have obviously preferred Madrid to have won, but London was my second favourite and I couldn't be happier!

LMAO Ghis, you show your lack of intelligence again. Oh and will you please remind yourself that you're NOT American?

Lack of intelligence? Because YOU think you're the smart one? ROFL
Will you please remind yourself not to post useless messages? Thanks.

i'd just wish she'd stop bashing the US.  honestly, I have nothing against rosie, but it's getting really old now.

Ok,

Ghis, sorry to land this on you but your response wasn't witty. No haha. And yes, Rosie is smart. VERY smart, in case you hadn't noticed. That's actually part of the reason your witty comeback wasn't funny.

Brian, I doubt any of Rosie's posts on this thread count as "bashing the US". She was talking to Ghis, not burning American flags

Funny, just the other day I thought of starting a thread for him hehe

He does sound like Gavin DeGraw but I like him. I've downloaded Bad Day and a few other songs, he's pretty good :)

Oh I would LOVE for Luke to come back!! Anna was nice, but her coming back probably means trouble for Seth/Summer so I'm not sure I'll like that. As for Lance and Carter.... blah. Same goes to the other 4. I ended up hating them all, except for maybe Alex. But Lindsay was the most annoying thing in the world, she made Ryan SO boring, and so was Zach - AAARGH he gets on my nerves esp at the end of the season!

I don't have music exams but I do have exams coming up... in fact, I started on June 4th and I supposedly finished last week, but I have them again during July, starting next week. I'm really scared, these are the exams that will determine whether I go abroad next September or not and I'm so worn out by almost a month of exams already I'm not sure I'm going to cope with one more  :? (esp while everyone else is at the beach!)

Anyway, good luck!! :)
