General Vanessa Carlton Discussion / Re: npr music interview
« on: July 24, 2011, 06:24:11 am »
Vanessa was actually interviewed on NPR this morning!  It was interesting, she talked about the album and stuff. They also played clips from some of the songs, and it was great to hear them on the radio!  :D Lots of people listen to NPR, so this probably gave her a lot of publicity for the album!
When you click on the link, it says audio from the interview will be posted later today, so you can go and listen to it if you didn't get to hear it.

Final Words – Without being life-changing, Rabbits On The Run is refreshing, and a bright spot in today’s pop market.

well, it definitely changed my life.
Totally agree.  And I love Hear the Bells and In the End.

I love the guy who shouted DO ANNIE!!
I was so excited that she was going to play it...but then she didn't.

ooooh, this sounds fun!
I can see a music video for Dear California.  It starts out with Vanessa walking down the streets in San Fransisco. Then in the second half, you see her driving off in a car with the top down.  (And of course, Lord Victor is there with her.."just me and my pup and the open road")
I can imagine her driving down the highway (no traffic!), singing in her car, and her hair blowing in the wind.
Maybe at the end, she ends up in Nolita :)

This is such a cool idea! I'm going to try to record myself.

This sounds so awesome. I might have to record myself. I live with my brother, so I'll just do it when he's not home so he doesn't think I have completely lost my mind. lol

Yea I'm gonna have to find a time where my family isn't home. lol
lol, me too!  :D

That was a great performance!

By the way.. it's June 21st. The album would've been out today  :(

Ok, they just said she'll be coming up soon again..but first they have to talk about good restarants to go to  :P
I just wanna see V!

How long does this show last?

I hope V knows the type of pain we have to endure just to watc her for five minutes... >:( lol.
I just checked. The show ends at 10.
So she'll have to be on soon.

12
I'm watching now too.. still waiting for V to be on.

I wish I could have seen the video before they took it down.  I really like the picture on Tumblr.
Did anyone notice that the picture said the album would be up to pre order on itunes today?
Anyway, I definetly agree that Dear California should be the next single.  And after that, Bride.

That was a great interview!  I knew it would be one of those for the next single.
And I love her motto..
My motto is this: Pin. The. Tail. On. The. Donkey.
