Okay, so I'm a big classical music fan, and I've been learning The Heart Asks Pleasure First ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zar6horZVQ ) and I thought I'd mix in Al Stewart's Year Of The Cat (amazing song)

So, tell me what you think.

Do you like classical music?

Okay, there were two livestreams, the first one was an official live stream, like, in a studio, and the second at one of her shows. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiHMhRMLlyo at 3:41)

Where can I watch the whole show online? I started watching it when it was first broadcast but didn't finish. HELP!

Live Shows / Virgin Mobile performance.
« on: June 21, 2011, 03:49:49 pm »
Has anyone recorded this performance/interview? It was unavailable to watch live in the UK and I am desperate to see it.

And also, 'She just said in her Virgin Mobile interview that she was definitely planning on touring in the UK, it's an English record, so it would be weird not to.'

EXCITED!

Okay, so this video has been on here ages! But thanks to a YouTuber, they pointed out that the song she plays is Marching Line! You can hear after the instrumental that she goes to A, and sounds like Marching Line. So! Expect an instrumental part! :D

General Vanessa Carlton Discussion / Is Vanessa 'dark' again?
« on: April 06, 2011, 05:50:07 pm »
So I'm pretty sure we've all seen the latest photo that's been released and looking at it, it looks very moody, dark and very foreboding.

http://razorandtiepublicity.com/photos/VC4_lo.jpg

I hope that this album is more of the 'dark' Vanessa we all love. I know she's written some dark and 'melancholy' songs over the past few years e.g. All Is Well, but it seems she's been singing about being happy etc e.g. Nolita Fairytale. She has said in some interviews about going back to her roots hence recording to tape yada yada yada. So all in all, do we feel that Vanessa is going back to her darker side?

Personally I feel she is going in a totally different and somewhat uncomfortable direction which retains more of the darker mannerisms in which her last album was unaccustomed to.

The photo looks like she's waiting for something, like she knows something is about to happen, something big, but she's sitting calmly. Waiting. She looks very wise yet on edge.

Thoughts?

Creative Endeavors / Tracklist story :) A must have for Nessaholics!
« on: February 24, 2011, 02:36:09 am »
Yesterday, I went to LONDON with my FAIR WEATHER FRIEND and boy have I got a TALL TALE FOR SPRING to tell you :) We went through Trafalgar Square, past a bridal shop and my friend just burst out crying saying, I DON'T WANT TO BE A BRIDE! So after she calmed down I asked her why. She confessed that she'd been married before and that if she got married again, she'd be afraid of that failing too, and it'd be like going round and round like a CAROUSEL. I comforted her and told her everything would be alright :) Behind her back I thought it'd be okay to write a letter to her fiance, Mike Calafornia.

I started the letter, DEAR CALIFORNIA... and led on to explaining my friend's doubt into the marriage. He replied short after that he didn't mind, because he loved her so much. I showed her the letter, which made her more confident into getting married. She was so happy, I could practically HEAR THE BELLS already.

2 weeks later, he returned from the MARCHING LINE in Chopaloopyland. It was a Tuesday and it was raining, but the weather did GET GOOD by the time the afternoon rolled in.

IN THE END they got married and they lived happily ever after.

Wink wink ;)
