Vanessa Songs / Lyrics / Sheet Music / Re: Favorite song from each album?
« on: September 16, 2011, 12:35:19 pm »
This should be challenging. :P

Demo: Burden or Wonder...hmm.
BNN: Twilight or Wanted...I can't decide (again).
Harmonium: Afterglow and Annie! Almost a tie there...but I guess in a matter of life or death I'd have to choose Afterglow. I also like Private Radio and San Francisco pretty well...hmmm.
Heroes & Thieves: Eek. Hmmm...it goes between Home, Heroes & Thieves, The One, Spring Street, and More Than This. Maybe even Nolita Fairytale. I'm so indecisive. :(
ROTR: The Marching Line, London, Tall Tales for Spring...Hear the Bells. Gah. I'm sorry I can't settle on anything!
Unreleased: Best Behavior, Ameriteen, or All is Well. Also, if these two songs she's put up for download count (even though they are technically released), DEFINITELY I've Loved You Since I Was 6. That one goes to my unbelievably long list of favorite songs ever, heheh. :P

...Sorry for being completely incapable of making a decision.

I can't get enough of this song. <3 68 plays in two days. :P

Completely Off-Topic / Re: StumbleUpon

Yikes, viruses are never good. Well, I guess it all depends on what your interests are. If a certain interest is totally sketch, lie Wicca or something, well then I could see :P

I only have four interests listed: history, American history, literature, and quotes. I think the two I got viruses from were both listed under quotes, though. I get a lot of less-than-reliable sites through that one. :/

But in any case, I love StumbleUpon. <3 Like I said, this has only happened twice and I have a few programs that make virus removal relatively easy, so I don't mind.

I love this website. <3 I've had a few instances where I've gotten websites that gave me viruses, but I have programs to remove them, so it's not that big of a deal. It's rare, anyway. I think I've been using StumbleUpon for about two years, and has only happened about twice. Anyway, I use this pretty much every day. I've found some useful/interesting things this way. :P

I heard Nolita Fairytale at Staples yesterday. :)

Wow, that video was very nice.

Happy birthday, Vanessa!

I hear Ordinary Day and A Thousand Miles at Kohl's a lot. Also, almost every time I go to O'Charley's I hear Nolita Fairytale. I always have to point it out to whoever I'm with, haha.

We also have a local restaurant called Buckhead where I hear Pretty Baby and Hands on Me sometimes.

General Vanessa Carlton Discussion / Re: Daily Californian review

I guess I just don't understand how anyone can get so worked up over something they never have to listen to again after they review it, haha.
That was a frustrating read...

First step in the right direction: I found BNN at a random yard sale I stopped at on Saturday.
I was so excited I squealed.  ::)

happy that you found it, not happy it was at a yard sale :/

Trust me, I'm not too thrilled about it either. I'd much rather find my own copy, but my mother was already pretty confused as to why I'd want a physical version of a CD I'd already bought for my iPod. It's just not the same! :(

Not to mention the fact that I simply can't imagine why anyone would want to sell it...but to each their own!  ;)

But hopefully I'll be able to find the other albums in a store or get them online...

concert posted on Facebook page! acoustic live stream session

I wonder what the chances of this ever happening again are...? Hmmm. I wish it wasn't on a Tuesday! D: The one day I get home late...
Anyway, I'm sure watching it afterwards will still be nice. If I can't figure out a way of rescheduling the appointment I have, that is.  ::)

It makes me of this thing I read about where you can have a deceased loved one's ashes turned into a diamond.

Sort of strange in my opinion...but also sort of cool?

I listened to the version on Youtube, and I like it much more than I thought I would. I wouldn't mind being able to hear her voice more, but it's part of the song and I do like it! ;D

All this time, and still nothing for me. :( Not even the physical CDs...I can never find them! I've got my fingers crossed for actually getting a physical copy of ROTR, though...
It's strange, because I'm sure they were sold somewhere around here...I live in the US, sooo it shouldn't have been so hard. Hm. /rant

For some reason I really want a physical copy of H&T...what does the CD look like? >.>

Anyway...I'll just sit here and be jealous of everyone. xD

I decided to only listen to one of them, and I chose Bride...this makes me wish I could have these for my upcoming vacation even more...aaaaahhhhh! x.x
It's so perfect. <333333333333

I hope it's not true. D: I really wanted to listen to this while I was on vacation...July 26th is way too late! :(
