Creative Endeavors / Sorrow's Child...

Sorrows Child
Had destiny been fair to her
And demons not stolen her smile
had envy not hav swallowed her
she wouldnt b sorrows child
her looks so bare
that venus would dare
to look her in the eye
for love was lost
his soul now gone
poor old sorrows child
and she stayed that way
for joy ws flayed
just as light flees the nite
and never would day be the same
for poor old sorrows child
now consumed in sorrow
she gazed at the morbid colors in the room
while the devil laughed at her
with a mocking jeer
at her unfortunate fortune
for destinys twist
now she couldnt rinse
his image from her eye
her life, a bitter drone
was this
the fate of sorrows child ?
