Saw it maybe a year ago and loved it! Very honest and truthful while being such a fun watch. I'd recommend it to almost anyone. ;D

i guess you're right. i'm just not having a clear vision of things.
i mean, she mentioned rabbits on the run a few times as her "dream record", "the kind of record she always wanted to make". so i just think it's weird that she thinks it's already time to begin a new record and leave ROTR behind (but i don't know if that's what she's gonna do, but i think you can't work in the future and in the past at the same time).
i'm not saying it won't or it shouldn't happen. i love the good news too! can't wait for new stuff. but i'd like we had gone deeper with rabbits.

I totally see where you're coming from, but I'm looking at it from a different perspective. While ROTR may have been, and still is probably is, her "dream record", she's branching out into different areas of music. Even after this new (probably electronic) album, she may hold Rabbits in the same regard she did after its creation. I think that this probably isn't a new "dream", but rather a creative experiment.

I feel it won't take the place of ROTR, but be something completely separate.

I almost died when she said that last night! So excited!!

Also, I thought it was a little strange that she didn't say anything about HTB being her next single/upcoming video. Maybe I am just paranoid!

I honestly though I misheard her last night, and that she had said something about Skye recording his album in England or something?

When I visited the forums afterwards, I was like, "Wait... I was right? o_o"

I'm beyond excited, but yeah, with you on lack of mentioning HTB. There were a few slip-ups and nervous moments in the night, so she might've just forgotten.

Other Musicians / Sucré

Sucré is the name of Stacy Dupree King of Eisley's solo project. Though different from V, her music is very quality and I'm sure some of you would love it.

Her album's streaming for free here (but probably not for much longer): http://kickkicksnare.com/2012/04/09/sucre-full-album-stream-semi-exclusive/

If you only have a bit of time, I'd recommend 'When We Were Young', 'Chemical Reaction', or 'No Return'.

Let me know what you think!  :D

Thanks, sobriquet!

@saphire I had a lot of free time the other day and decided to listen to all your tracks on youtube (I've listened to just a few before). You truly have a musical gift. Make sure to keep posting it here--I really love it, and I hope others will discover it as well! :D

I made a few new 'Hear the Bells' icons, in case anyone wanted them in the hype for the new video!

I think that Vanessa would be extremely humbled to receive that especially as it took so much work and looks so great. You should definitely try to get to a concert.

Seconding.

It's really her kind of thing too so I'm sure it'd be put to use.

@[sobriquet]  Woah, what are those last ones from? V's dressed so differently than she's been for a while.

Me too!

That picture's really got me hyped though!

I found a teeny tiny 'promotional' video of Vanessa for this concert. And I mean short:
http://www.google.com/url?sa=X&q=http://www.hollywoodlife.com/2012/04/02/vanessa-carlton-gavin-degraw-origins-earth-month-concert/&ct=ga&cad=CAEQARgBIAAoATAAOABAhbDp-wRIAVgBYgVlbi1VUw&cd=339ggAgI1DE&usg=AFQjCNEKtHAhdENQKCD2qlWfLEQdbhrkKA

Very short, but still enjoyed it!  :D Thanks for linking!

She seemed to have a lot more energy than we've seen from her recently, but that might've been because she was told to talk fast. Haha, but despite the speed of her talking, she was very 'awake'.

Okay, now I'm convinced that V is including as many books as she can in her tweets to add to our book list. Haha  :D

Oh my goodness! Wow! :o

I absolutely love this; it feels like it came right out of 'Carousel's music video.

The way she sounds, the lyrics, the ending. Everything about this song is perfect to me and its like a therapy.

Just have to cut in and agree. The ending of that song is otherworldly.

Check out Vanessa's Top 10 @VEVO music video playlist at #NewVevo -MGMT #RabbitsOnTheRun http://t.co/6vh9cSkI

Are these tunes that V personally hand-picked? I'm a little shocked to see Britney and Selena there..

umm yeah, I was thinking those were very odd.  Maybe she was highly encouraged to pick some main stream artists? Just does seem odd.

Yeah... I feel like maybe vevo wanted her to choose out of their more popular artists? Perhaps she was given a list of songs?

Funny though, because I were given such a selection, my choices would be the same. :D (A lot of my guilty pleasure songs were on that list...)
