Don't take my word for it, but I think by the time "Hands on Me" was released as a single, the album was such a flop that nobody even bothered to review that video    Also by now she's no longer the artist little girls look up to, so the problem with White Houses (which I assume was the bridge about her losing her virginity) doesn't really apply anymore.

Ah i thought that was probably what it was. I suppose she'd been quiet for so long that people just forgot about it! it's a shame really it's one of my favourites from Heroes and Thieves. I guess I was just surprised that she'd risk it again haha

I don't think using vibrato makes you 'technically good', it's just a stylistic trait. I personally think that Vanessa's got such a beautiful quality to her voice, partly because it's not full of over-complicated techniques. I'm not saying vibrato can't be stunning (Amy Lee and Adele are two of my other favourite popular singers who happen to use it beautifully) i just think that it wouldn't really suit all of the songs which she writes as they don't lend themselves to that type of voice

I like all your ideas here.  I don't know Amy Lee but Adele is amazing.

Haha thanks Amy Lee is the lead singer of Evanescence (they are quite heavy, but she has got the most beautiful voce so I don't mind). If you want something nice to listen to whilst waiting for ROTR- 1 month more waiting?- then check her out. They've got a new album coming out soon-ish too!

Pretty much the same as all of you guys- I've been eagerly awaiting this album since they announced the June release date and now I've found that it's been moved to July! I am annoyed, but as long as i get this music, i don't mind. I think you're right that she should give some sort of explanation as to WHY the album has been delayed because it's all very well saying that she appreciates us (I was chuffed when that came up on twitter ^_^) but i could do with a bit more clarification. Oh well, it's only another month i suppose
PS. Anyone know if V has any plans to come to the UK for touring?

After loving vanessa for so long, i was shocked to discover that i'd never seen her video for hands on me. It's a song I've loved ever since i first heard it on H&T so i thought i had to see the video. I was surprised to see that it showed her undressing, not in like an "OMG NUDITY!?" way because a) it wasn't even nudity and b) So what if it was? it's just a bit of flesh and the song lends itself to that sort of imagery. But i was surprised that she would be bold enough to put that sort of thing in after all the public outrage that followed white houses. Just wondering if the press had a go at her for it? Thanks guys
