Completely Off-Topic / Re: Friday, Friday...

I thought this song was catchy at first until the chorus came on. She sounds sooooo monotone and a worse singer than Miley Cyrus! (No offense to Cyrus fans). I feel so bad for all the bullying and negative comments she's getting!

The censored version is hilarious though. lol.. "You [beep] this, I [beep] this" 2nd verse lolll.

The sooner the wiser it'd be.

Introduce Yourself / Hey Everyone!
« on: June 03, 2011, 02:42:28 pm »
Hey everyone! I've been posting here a lot lately but I thought I'd properly introduce myself.

My name is Jamie and I've been visiting this forum for a while, though I've just signed up. So I've been a bit invisible :).
I'm a huge fan of V since Be Not Nobody. I went out and bought the album when I first heard A Thousand Miles. Since then, she's really captured me. I like that she composes her own music and lyrics. She's really talented!

This forum seems really friendly. I hope to get to know some of you here :)

^ that's one of my favorite parts from the first verse. :)

I like how the song emotionally progresses from a dark tone to happy tone. She sounds dark in the beginning, then gets lighter in the 2nd verse, and the song ends in an epic optimistic choir.

I'll keep that in mind!! I have low alcohol tolerance, so I'll try to see how that works next time ;) -- oh, meaning I get drunk easy. so I'll experiment lying to myself lol.

36
wow Sara you're awesome for knowing that. I'm not much of a drinker and I'm not well versed with alcoholic beverages at all. So, no, that knowledge totally escaped me haha. That seems to make a lot of sense though. :)

hahah. It does sound like eyes... but I'm not totally comprehending that line.

Wow that's such a random place for it to wind up at! An anime video?? I wonder how this person got it.

Just listened to the original. I also like the the way she sang "fairweather friend" at the end too and the last little piano notes she does.

omg. No, no, no. Nessa shouldn't do that. It's absolute torture that none of us Lindsay fans can hear that unheard song. I believe it's called "Fill It Up" omg. I've been waiting yeeeears for that song. =\ The other songs from her birthday playlist were leaked except that one. lol.

Oh but if you're talking about him promoting her new album, then that's fine. Just don't give him any demos hahah.

I'm very surprised she kept the "From London to Tennessee" line as is. I figured she only said Tennessee in the Nashville recording because that's where she was, and I thought for sure the final version would say "NYC" considering London and NY are so special to her. Guess I shouldn't try to predict what will come out of her head though  :D
I really thought it would be NYC. I just love the sound of Tennessee though. :) I'm glad she stuck with it.
In the live version didn't she say "Got a new philosophy" instead of "Got a fresh philosophy"? I love these little new changes. <3

Does http://starbucks.yahoo.com play the songs?

If anyone wants to try, you can use Audio Hijack Pro on Mac to rip the sound from your computer. We'd have a good quality of the song lol. Just a suggestion if anyone wants to do that. You can only listen to the online radio using Starbuck's WIFI though. So, you'd have to actually go to the store. Audio Hijack will rip the song.

^ haha. I did that earlier for myself. I've been listening to the starbucks rips more though. :P
