I present to you all, the benefits of being an active member of this message board & a NESSAholic.

of course please keep in mind these were recorded INSIDE a Starbucks.

(also, I cannot and do not take full credit for this :P)
you might need to turn your volume way up, this is probably the best that can be done until we get the official-official album versions.

ENJOY!
also, if you share, please make the notes I made, we don't want people thinking these are straight from the album lol these are the "starbucks rips"
Just wondering Kulp, how did you manage to rip the audio? It's almost so clear lol. Did you record near a speaker or was it blasting there? :P

I take my words back about Bride. The whole song from the starbucks rip is magic!

Omg. CRIES. IDWBAB. The bridge gives me total goosebumps and makes me cry. This is so beautiful omg.......
THANK YOU SO MUCH.

After listening to Bride several times, I think it has to grow on me. I loved the live performance of it in Nashville. It sounds like she's singing in a lower key in the album version and some parts aren't as pretty to me.... =\ I hate to hate on it lol. I just loved how sweet her vocals were in the live version and how faster paced it was, but I guess she wanted to go in a darker route. I hope the rest of the song will convince me.

I looove these. I get what one of the reviewers was trying to say about the bad sound though. In The End her voice is really muffled under all the production. It's so hard to hear. I wish there was an acoustic for Bride!

51
Oh goodness. Now that you mentioned the drums, it's really irritating me now too lol.

General Vanessa Carlton Discussion / Re: Mini review of the album

Yikes. Let's pray and hope for the best. The tracks that stand out most to me are Bride, Dear California, The Marching Line, and In The End.

If the analog sound is as bad as the reviewer said, it would've been nice if Nessa recorded in regular studio quality for certain songs. I would really like to hear Bride as an upbeat pop track for radio (even though it's perfect as it is, but I'd still like to hear it played on mainstream stations if you know what I mean?)

I love how different these songs sound. They give me the same feelings like when I listen to Enya songs. They're so soothing...

I didn't expect Bride to be such a slow ballad though but I love it. This album is gonna be sooo timeless. :]
Her vocals are also so beautiful with the analog sound.

Maybe they'll do the 3 week countdown singles on iTunes...

This is one of my favorite songs by Nessa.
Lavender Skies, does the studio have acoustic guitar in it?
