« on: January 03, 2010, 04:16:56 pm »
hi guys,

My friend and I did a cover of Who's To Say, and it's V's latest version with the " who we are, who we are, we are, we aaaaarreeee!" part. We added harmonies to it and such. Please watch/listen! :)

Completely Off-Topic / New ideas for videos...?
« on: December 05, 2007, 01:01:43 pm »
so, my friends and I usually make these weird ass, pointless videos during school and post them on youtube. but lately we ran out of ideas... i mean good ideas. our first video was about a girl that got stuck in her locker and couldn't get out, then she falls down the stairs and stuff happens blah blah. the second video was about "girl issues" birth control etc... and two girls get into a girl fight, that turns into like a matrix scene. then our 3rd video, we did a music video for Milkshake... which turned out bad but w/e.

So as you can see they're all pointless and stuff but we need new ideas. It's basically everything that's happening to us but we twist it in a LOT of different (weird) ways. etc.

Creative Endeavors / Project help?
« on: November 24, 2007, 06:42:43 am »
Ok, so my English teacher assigned us a project to basically show in some form this character from Forgotten Fire by Adam Bagdasarian named Vahan (It's about the Armenian genocide and it's a really good read). We're given the choices of a CD compilation (or an original piece, artwork, journal entries, map etc.

The project is to show his journey from being such a privileged naive boy, to a mature adult. I want to do artwork and make this sort of mosaic road but I can't think of this really famous old ancient road in Europe... I can see it in my head but i don't know what it's called. i think it's Roman architecture but i'm not sure... please help me figure out what it is!

if i don't then i'll just do a CD comp with a lot of VC songs lol

Other Musicians / Great Northern
« on: October 06, 2007, 01:38:46 pm »
Has anyone heard of them? They're so amazing, kinda like a really laid back sound of the Foo Fighters, pretty chill and altenative weirdness. Reminds me of the New Pronographers a bit. Check out Home, it's pretty good.

I just had to make this topic! I can't believe that a highschool student could stand up to a presidential candidate about LGBT rights. Plus, Will's in my English class... so that makes it more awesome!  :D

EDIT: Sorry for the mispelled title "get's" is supposed to be "gets" lol Haha

Other Musicians / Metro Station!
« on: August 14, 2007, 07:00:13 pm »
Anyone heard of them???

They're amazing!!! I categorize them as Electronic/Alternative. Oh and the band members are awesome! And two of them met in a very weird scenario. Ok the lead singer is Mason Musso, who is the brother of Mitchel Musso (Hannah Montana) and their backup is Trace Cyrus, who is Miley Cyrus's older half-brother (Hannah Montana). So they basically met on the set and fromed a band!!! They have a new single out called "Kelsey" and it's so catchy, deep and emotional.

Please check them out!!!

Other Musicians / The Hush Sound

Oh my wow! If you've heard any of this band's stuff then you know how amazing they are. It's like piano punk/pop and their sound is so uniquely their own!

Two lead singers, Bob and Greta (weird combo names but they're so good together) and almost all of their songs are piano influenced. Greta plays the piano and writes almost all of the band's songs and Bob is the guitarist. I forgot the other two guys' names but they play bass and drums.

Anyways, just check them out HERE. BTW, Wine Red is an AWESOME SONG!!!

Creative Endeavors / Chamber Chorus

So... I'm part of this little Middle School choir and we had our first major concert of the year. I mean, we're only 12-14 year olds and I think we're actually pretty good. Let me know what you think...

It's Embraceable You by the Gershwins... we did it a capella and gosh, it was hard.

I'm sorry for the somewhat obnoxious title but I feel really mad right now!  :x

For music class, we have this thing called "Fresh Music Friday". We get to bring in our favorites songs and we listen and comment on them (like it? not like it? and why?). Anyway, my two friends and I brought an Arctic Monkeys song, a Death Cab for Cutie song and a Jack's Mannequin one. As soon as everyone finished listening to it, they were all really really ruthless and started calling it "emo... gay..." or what have you. I'm just really mad that the social circuits of the school must have a specific type of music to like. Everyone else brought something rap, hip-hop etc. (I'm not saying that it's bad, I happen to like some of it) and everyone was all for it and were the only ones that sort of got rejected.

It's really unfair and crappy!  :x  :x  :x

So... what do you think???

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Hopefully, you can all spend it with your loved ones. As for me, I'm stuck inside the house with my family because of a Nor'Easter. Hmm... it's too cold to do anything. Anyway, spread love to everyone!

Well, I was surfing through youtube and I found this girl that did a Vanessa cover of Who's To Say, she blowed my mind. She was amazing, even though she just did it with a "crappy" piano and a bad recorder but she's amazing. I'm just shocked on how she can writes songs and display a lot of emotion in them. Just check her out>

She's not a signed artist or has a dream of becoming one but she is just amazing.

Here's Who's To Say (a bit fast but beautiful)
