Awesome! Thanks for sharing those videos, guys. Vanessa's voice sounds amazing in the Nothing Where Something Used To Be video. And she looks amazing, too. Love the winged liner.

So according to the lyrics that were posted on her Youtube channel that mystery line is actually "Are you waiting all the time for some unending delight?". I would never have been able to make that out myself lol.

Anyways here are the "official" lyrics:

I'm old enough to know, too young to let it go
Connected to one billion stars and lights
I know you have to go
Do we follow what we know?
Ill be here for you in the night

Say it once, say it twice, to yourself, to the night
A shaman’s prayer
It’s natural
When it’s quiet, get slow

As your castle crumbles down and it will, take it easy take it easy
When heaven wraps around you and she will, take it easy
Take it in easy

Are you waiting all the time for some unending delight?
Have you ever broken your own heart?

Say it once, say it twice, to yourself, to the night
A shaman’s prayer
It’s natural
When it’s quiet get slow

As your castle crumbles down and it will, take it easy take it easy
When heaven wraps around you and she will, take it easy
Take it in easy

Take it in
Take it
Take it in easy

Vanessa Songs / Lyrics / Sheet Music / Re: Operator Lyrics
« on: July 25, 2015, 01:11:57 pm »
That's funny... I don't really see it as a dark song at all! Like @Sobriquet, I see it as a 'story' about a couple wanting to leave together - maybe run away. Hence the "don't tell your mother" part. Maybe someone is feeling ambivalent about leaving, but the other wants to leave: "it's getting late, darling, get a move on it".

I really do love the "leave your house for a home" part as well. This song is amazing. Both the studio and the live version are fantastic. I can't even decided which one I like better!

I really would love to know what she means by "operator" though.

Someone uploaded it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86tWCfoqKn0

But honestly I think they should take it down.... Vanessa's probably not happy about it.

I also downloaded the file before they pulled it, and I would be willing to share it with other nessaholics. If you message me I can e-mail the file to you.

I was glad to see that it was already up on iTunes when I woke up. I'll definitely be listening to the EP while walking to work this morning :).

I'm so glad that "moneymaker" won't just be a big black question mark for the rest of our lives lol.

The EP is FANTASTIC. I do miss the live intro to Take it Easy, but both the live version and the studio version are gorgeous. Operator is AMAZING. I can't stop listening to it either!

I can't wait for this album sknlfkdmlkfd.

It's probably going to be in the same style as the live acoustic versions of songs she did for Rabbits. I love those. They feel like different songs to me. I wonder if we'll actually get a 'live living room session' version of every song on the album? It kind of sounds like that in the interview, but usually artists just do a few acoustic versions of songs on their album.

This is an awesome interview!

She said the deluxe album will include a "live living room sessions" version of every song, which I am ecstatic about!

She also said that she's finished the artwork. I bet that it's going to be gorgeous.

I am so freaking excited about this record!

Will be that this is the cover of Liberman https://instagram.com/p/4SPRP5oCvJ/?taken-by=mikekillmon

Definitely possible. She used that picture once when she was posting Liberman song titles on her instagram.

This album is going to be SO GOOD. Every song that I've heard so far has blown me away.

I love that Vanessa is dropping songs like that without warning us because it feels like a present!

And I totally agree @Alex0821, her voice sounds AMAZING on Nothing Where Something Used to be.

Nice! It sounds really cool.

Thanks for sharing!

Oh my god, I hadn't even thought about the video! I guess we'll be getting one though, since it's a single. Especially since they just posted the Blue Pool audio on her Youtube channel and they added 'Audio only' on the title. I'm assuming it's because we'll get a video and they don't want people to confuse both vids.

The ROTR era videos were fantastic, so I can't wait to see what Vanessa decides to do with her Liberman videos!
