Wowowow. Blue Pool IS AMAZING. I don't even have the words! I must say that Blue Pool wasn't my first pick for a single, but the studio version totally won me over. It definitely blew my expectations out of the water!

And I'm so glad that we're getting an EP to tide us over until the album!

Thanks for the download, Pushglow. I keep checking iTunes, but it's not up yet. I'll listen to it a few more times on Soundlcoud to give it more listens though.

Just one more day to go! I'm really excited. I kind of doubt that it's going to be in iTunes after midnight though. They might be premiering the song during the day with Esquire, like with Young Heart and I'll Wait for You.

Personally I loooove that "hyperecho" effect on Vanessa's voice. It's so magical and haunting and ethereal.

I'm trying not to listen to any of the songs because I don't want to spoil the experience. I listened to practically all the released songs from Rabbits on the Run before it came out. Regret it a little. (;

I feel the same way.. I have only listened to the new songs in concert, which I recorded but I have only listened to a handful of times afterwards.  Since I had ROTR songs so early, it was almost like I was "done" listening to the record before it was even out! (when I say "done" what I mean is that I usually get a new record and listen to only that fore months.. then I will listen to it less as time goes on.. then my ipod goes to shuffle until I get a new album I obsess about!)  
acoustic version of the songs would be great, as always, the stripped down and live versions are my favorite, even though the new stuff has neat sound

You guys are definitely disciplined! I tried, especially when we got the clips of River and Blue Pool, but I couldn't resist listening.

I'm hoping that the live recordings will make the songs feel like 'new'. I'm the same way as you Sara! I usually listen to the same things until I get almost 'tired' of them.

ok so this guy for sure has the record, i've contacted him and he told be to be patient haha. i guess he has something to do with "Dine Alone Records".
he also said somewhere that "Nothing Where Something Used To Be" is one of his favorites (i guess it was on Vanessa's instagram video with the song).

I've only been to New York once, and sadly, at the time I wasn't very familiar with Vanessa's music. Next time I go to New York I will definitely check out all those places she mentions in her songs/that are featured in the NF video!

it was my mission to visit areas she has sang about in songs when I was there for a few days during the ROTR tour.  spring street, the cemetery (which is not on Elizabeth!) the st patricks cathedral, ruby's.. I walked around Nolita and surrounding areas.. but I do not feel the magic! i'm very much a country girl and I also prefer Boston 

That's interesting! Is the cemetery close to Elizabeth?
