An album costs, what, $10 a pop? That means Vanessa made $65,000 this week.
She really didn't, that's not how it works mate.
They split it between a lot of people. Vanessa probably gets the biggest cut.

I don't think that was vinyl. Every time he introduces an artist he always puts a large cardboard version of the album cover on his desk for the camera to see and then says "my next guest...yada yada yada." It did kinda look like vinyl, though (and maybe it was, maybe Nessa gave him one of hers).

I think Nessa did great. Although, I think she went on too long when asked about Stevie. I wanted Chelsea or Nessa to mention ATM or the White Chicks scene, so people will remember who she is and at least purchase ATM, if not ROTR. I know we should be focusing on ROTR and promoting that, but ATM having a second wave of popularity will provide her money to possibly do another album.

That's good. At least ROTR has a great cover to show it off. I, like a lot of other people, find new albums and music based on what covers look interesting to me. Hopefully ROTR will catch people's eyes in the shops and get them to at least give it a listen.

I guess it's what genre artists are labeled as when they write mostly all the songs by themselves, like Regina Spektor, Tracy Chapman, Nessa, Taylor Swift, etc....
