Vanessa's songs, given that she also sings, are not too hard to play at all. I'd say the easiest is Who's to Say; it's basically just the same chord progression over and over again.

thats what i luv about her songs...ill play them for my friends and they would b like "whoa ur good" wen we all kno they r so easy...they just sound hard...hehehe

i just finished the main part of home and it is so easy! but its really cool 2 play...cant wait till i learn the finale...its sounds so cool!

anyone else mention paradise? pretty easy.  prince isn't too hard either, especially the bridge.

wat? r u serious? i have so much trouble timing the bridge...the part where it goes down in octave and doing the medly with my left hand...mayb its because i dont like reading sheets...i can do it pretty well...but id rather have someone show me how to play it especially when it comes to timing

Hmmm the topic of Vanessa and Stephan...
Well I can't comment. I don't know them personally, and I'm not even in the same country (or continent) lol but that must suck for Vanessa.

And I agree with the first poster- it is weird! How could you tell something so personal right in front of the person who hurt you? Its just weird.....
They must be more friends than.. you know. Who knows.

I reckon judging by Vanessa's songs- she seems pretty naive, and it was almost inevitable. People like her always get stomped on. But yes, Vanessa does deserve better!!

Even if stephan is a jerk... he's a pretty good musician you have to admit! Both albums he helped with were awesome. (But most of the credit goes to Nessa!)

On Tuesdays right after school, we have choir rehearsal, but I asked our choir director if my friend (another huge VC fan as most of my friends are) could run across the street to Barnes and Noble and then run back and get back before 3:15.

He's like "What's being released? Interpol? Va..."
Me: "Vanessa Carlton's new CD yeah!"

He said it was fine! ahahahaha, he's the coolest guy ever.

Ok, y'all, I am gonna be completely honest....

Vanessa is very talented and it shines through in this album, and since this is her work of art and if she's happy with it, then mission accomplished.

However, I personally found the album to be somewhat disappointing.  Not because of Vanessa's abilities or anything like that, but because of my personal preferences when it comes to music.  The Vanessa stuff that I like the most are the dark, piano-heavy songs such as "Half a Week Before the Winter", "Papa", and "Wanted".  So, to find that this album didn't contain any songs like these to balance all the "happier" sounding songs, I am a bit disappointed.  

Not saying it's bad...it's good, but it was just missing the Vanessa sound that I love the most.

me 2...but since the last album had a lot of dark songs and did not do so good on the market mayb she tought "i should make happy songs" its watever sells... but she should have made at least one depressing song cuz they re so awesome...like Paradise

Am I the only one who things that the "na na na" in Spring Street is kinda annoying, but the lyrics is amazing!  :lol:
 
I don't like too much the vocals in The one.

I'm loving "My best"  :!:

The nanana's don't annoy me much... but the story is touching!
Home's outro is HOTT. Piano skillz much?!
The new songs Come Undone is amazing!
My Best sounds a little bit like a children's rhyme! It's so cute but lyrics are goood.
My fave (production wise) is Heroes and Thieves, definitely captures the OD sound, like someone on this board predicted...

Double Thumbs up, two more for big toes! LOL

Definitely deserves a Grammy!

i feel the same...wen i first listened 2 spring street i teared up...shows how much of a man i am lol but ya...ok i kno im gonna get iced 4 this but i cannot stand more than this...i love everything else but not that....its wierd

And i thought i was the only one who hated the intro.

me 2...i hope ppl who dont kno about the intro will still listen until it gets to the good part...the only reason i did cuz i wanted to give it a chance...but i kno ppl dont have patience or the appreciation of v's work enuf 2 do that...its a real shame

When I first heard Come Undone, I thought it was OK, but I didn't even rank it in my top 5 favorite songs from HaT. But after 10 or so listens, it's now my favorite song on  the album and in my top 3 songs of all time.

Has this happened to anyone else??

yes!!! the first part is whack but after that its such a beautiful and honest song...i love it anybody know how to play it? or have the sheets (r those even made up yet?)

i kno...wen my friend told me i was like WTF?!! i thought they were so good together and they were a good couple...i kno im being nosy but i had 2 kno wat went wrong cuz after all those years it had to b something big...wat a asshole he was to cheat on her, she is very creative, charismatic, and overall cool person...i pray she will find somebody rite for her...hey btw, i heard a rumor that vanessa and irv were 2gether...i kno this cant b tru, could it?
