To the OP - this is a public school? If so, then holy crap.

Completely Off-Topic / SO I had this dream about vanessa....

I had a dream once involving me sitting in a limo and Sheryl Crow was up front singing "A Thousand Miles" to the limo driver. And we were going over a bridge.

I don't know why Sheryl Crow was in it. But my alarm in the morning is the radio and they were playing ATM.

Other Musicians / Michelle Branch

Michelle Branch songs have always (for the most part - "Drop in the Ocean" and about half of Hotel Paper don't count) been as catchy as hell and well-produced. I don't really care if the lyrics are just "la la la" if the melody is fantastic.

But nice lyrics are always a plus. But not necessary.

That was hilarious. Thank you.

Whitest song ever? I think not.

It's artistic sweat.

I bet that everyone's lives will count on the final moment. As Harry and Voldemort move in for the kill, Dumbledore's ghost will perform a darkness charm and everything will fade to black. The End.

I've never been a Harry Potter fan, but I'm afraid that the ending will be a huge cop-out. I hope I'm proven wrong, though.

Vanessa Songs / Lyrics / Sheet Music / Misheard Lyrics?

I always thought the line in Who's to Say was "Do your trick, turn on the stars of Jupiter" and that always struck me as wtf. Plus I always heard the line "We need to grow / well speed's the key" as "We need to grow to speak the key". I just assumed they were "abstract".

Also, I always heard the line in Private Radio as "On a whim I'll leave this town", but every lyrics site out there said "If I don't win I'll leave this town", and that sounded stupid to me. And then I checked the liner notes and saw that I had been right the entire time. Woo.

I think White Houses was a poor choice for a LEAD single because it was very personal and might have scared some people off, so I think it would have done better as a second or third. Also, I may be in the minority when I say this, but I think She Floats would have been a great final single. The video would be awesome. Just don't listen to it while driving home late at night... alone...

If I had my way, I'd have released six singles:

1. Private Radio (the catchiest)
2. White Houses (catchy AND moving)
3. Who's to Say (a touching third single)
4. Afterglow (a nice slow fourth single)
5. San Francisco (they could do an A Thousand Miles-esque video with a piano being dragged through SF)
6. She Floats (appeals to a different crowd)

Annie would be a cool single too, but there aren't many video options for that without being cliche.

Hello. I bought Harmonium after hearing "Private Radio" on Pandora and have lurked here for a while. I go by about twelve different names but am most commonly Lesley. Hi.

Thanks again to the mod who activated my account after my email system imploded.
